Or for the current next edition of Poser.
In Poser 10 if I ask to reparent an object, I get a display like this. But in a scene with several people in, it would be more useful if it also displayed e.g. whose right hand the shovel is currently parented to, e.g.: "(Current parent is Figure 4's Right Hand)".
If I ask to reparent a figure, it would be useful if it similarly told me who or what the figure is currently parented to.

That would be handy.
(Waits for drum roll)
Or, point-and-click with a right click drop down menu. Ex: Left Click on Shovel 1, Right Click, select "Parent To," Left Click on Figure # right hand.
I suppose, with a smart prop or conforming clothing, "Conform To" solves the problem, but a dumb prop is no smarter than I am. How many people/figures do you typically have in a scene for this to really be an issue? In PP14GD, you could make the figure come with the shovel and then "bake" them together to make a single figure, unless you want the shovel to move - not sure how that would animate, for instance.
