You need to identify the problem.

HINT: It's probably not Poser.

What type of computer?

What OS?

What specs?

I just uninstalled and re-installed Poser 14 Pro. It is a night mare to me. If I did not love the output from Poser, I would pitch the whole thing. Don't expect much help from Smith Micro, they do answer help questions, but the answers are very terse.

Might be Internet Explorer version 11, ensure that you have the latest Poser Pro 2014 SR5.  Poser had a problem working with IE 11 and one of the service releases fixed that problem.  Jan

Although from different manufacturers your spec is not a million miles away from mine and Poser 2014 is installed and stable on my system.  I now use the Game Dev version but that is really Poser 2014 with added features and I ran Poser 2014 for years before that, again no issue.

I use Poser 13 on Windows 11 - For Scene set up I use a Geekcom A5 -  Ryzen 9 5900HX, with 64 gig ram and 3 TB  storage, mini PC with final rendering done on normal sized desktop using an AMD Ryzen Threadipper 1950X CPU, Corsair Hydro H100i CPU cooler, 3XS EVGA GTX 1080i SC with 11g Ram, 4 X 16gig Corsair DDR4 Ram and a Corsair RM 100 PSU .   The desktop is in a remote location with rendering done via Queue Manager which gives me a clearer desktop and quieter computer room.

Make sure it has adequate permissions under UAC in order to do everything it needs to do. When it "stops working", what is it doing? Does this happen right after you click the executable? If so, it's probably a permissions/security issue, since you've reinstalled it several times. Check any security software you have installed and make sure it allows Poser access to what it needs. For instance, even though Poser doesn't connect to the net, unless you tell it to, it may still need to access certain ports in order to carry out logical operations.

Also, make sure it's patched up before you start it. There's a problem with Internet Explorer 11 that was mentioned earlier. The only way Poser 2012 Pro runs on my machine is if I don't have IE11 installed, despite patches. You might want to revert to IE10, just to see if that fixes the problem.

They will both run fine in Win 8.1.  Stay away from program files for P7 and install the latest SR before running PP12.
