My system crashed and I lost my shortcut to poser that had additional syntax that ran along with the poser executable. It prevented poser from hogging all the resources when rendering if I opened another window. I can't seem to find that additional syntax anywhere.
Does anybody know what I'm talking about?

Yes, you want to lower the process priority to "below normal".
Bagginsbill explains how to do this in this post.

For "most" installs, here is the path you put into the shortcut: C:WINDOWSSysWOW64cmd.exe /c start "runbelownormal" /belownormal "C:Program FilesSmith MicroPoser Pro 2014PoserPro.exe
...where PoserPro.exe is your version of Poser.
