Yes folks, I was duped!
about a year ago I bought Faceshop 8 over at Daz3d when it was on sale for $40. It's main flaw is that it really doesn't "know' what a face is or have any relation to the geometry that you are trying to map the face onto....It does not know that the eye are eyes, the mouth is a mouth etc. You just stick pins on a picture of a face and it molds a glob of geometry to it.
So.....anybody using Facegen? It's output is a whole lot more accurate and it is way easyer to use. I have only tried the demo version so it will not export to anything. Anybody been able to export to V4?

I use it in DS on Genesis figure. The morphs it make will appear in Poser if you have DSON configured properly. AFAIK, there is no V4 exporter.

Yeah, It was my understanding that Daz uses the Facegen SDK and it is integrated with DAZ3D. Supposedly the standalone version of Facegen will export to any mesh/UV type. That is what I was after....Don't want to have to learn DAZ3D and then have to buy content When I have years of V4 stuff.

Supposedly, you can use "FaceGen Customizer" to add your own mesh and it will preserve vertex order.
I have not used it, but did use Cage's TDMT to convert V3 default head morphs to V4.

The Poser Face Room is based on a Long Ago version of FaceGen. I wish they would update it...

An update would rock! I was hoping for that when they rolled out PP2014 but instead got the fitting room.

Where can I download TDMT?
I have facegen but only the free version. Not much use with Poser. I often fantasize about owning the customizer but it's very expensive.

What is "TDMT?"

That Darned Morph Thing is a script to transfer morphs between figures of differing geometry. Here is the relevant thread...
