Subject: How to use Ali Hair

Salutations!

I hope I put this in the right category - I have a question about how to use the Ali Hair Products from the Marketplace. Specifically HR-102, I'm using DAZ studio with V4.2 it loads great but there's a lot of collision and the bangs are right in her line of sight. Is there a way to "pose" the hair or move it around so it flows organically and if so how? I've been poking around some of the parameters but none of them make very fluid or natural adjustments.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks so much!

Hello,

I didn't test this with V4, but I see no reasons why it wouldn't work with her as the character : Try to add a mesh smoother on the hair. With the hair cr2 selected, click on the small "options" button on the scene tab (top-right button in that tab), in the Edit, Geometry menu, there is a "add mesh smoother" option. If it loads with 0 value, set it at 2 or upper, and it should solve all issues with the hair (it works really great for hairs and clothing, in my experience :).

I've been experimenting relentlessly with this product and I just find it hard to believe this is what it's supposed to look like:

This is exactly how it loads onto V4 in DAZ studio 4.7 without being touched or adjusted. The promo pictures show the bangs should go around the face not between her eyes. I've fiddled with every morph available but none of them fix it. Even if I load it into a scene by itself (not attached to any figure) this is what it does.

Is there something I'm missing here ?

Unfortunately, I don't have this hair.
But, in the past, for uncooperative morphs, I have had to uncheck "auto-follow" in the parameters tab of a few morphs.
