Hi folks, I'm just learning to model and using Blender. I wondered if there was a repository somewhere of front and side images of simple objects; a toaster or stapler or teapot for instance, that I could load into Blender as templates for practicing.

A toaster and stapler are not simple objects to model. They are actually very detailed, with lots of small and oddly shaped parts, if you're going for realism. http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Blender_3D:_Noob_to_Pro/Blueprint_Links_List
There's a list of blueprint links on that page.
Tools : 3dsmax 2015, Daz Studio 4.6, PoserPro 2012, Blender

System: Pentium QuadCore i7, under Win 8, GeForce GTX 780 / 2GB

Great resource, maxxxmodelz. Never saw those before. To me, even a teapot could be difficult to model. I wouldn't call any of those models beginner level. A stapler is very complicated, it seems. I'm looking at a real one now, and there's a ton of shapes here that I'm not sure exactly how I'd do them.
A teapot could be easy or hard. I mean, have a look at this one...

Fully agree on the advice maxxxmodelz. Choose items that will give you a good guide for learning and practicing some basic modeling workflow techniques and build up to more complicated items as you go and the link she added is like one of the ones almost any Blender user will have in his link arsenal of places to look for reference and find answers to some of the common question that will come up while learning Blender. And welcome to the forum fasle1
Good Luck

Coulda sworn I'd replied to this yesterday. But there are some new comments since then. For some reason I hadn't thought to use "blueprints" as a search term before. Anyways, lots of good links here to get me started. Thanks.
