Dunno how new this is, but I just noticed that poser pro 14 has a memory leak. I'm watching it tick up in Task Manager. Does SM know/care about this issue?

I guess we'll only know if SM knows/cares if you file a support ticket and report it, no?
Winterclaw posted Sun, 29 March 2015 at 3:19 PM
I have zero faith in SM's technical support.

Ahhh, well, since none of us can do anything about it, I guess this whole thread is an exercise in futility, then.

Can you give some details on how you get it to leak? And list addons that you have installed.
If it is an issue, (not doubting you) it needs to be reported.

I haven't seen it. I've got four Win7Pro 64bit machines with Poser Pro 2014 Game Dev, and thirteen Win7Pro 64bit machines with only Queue Manager (render drones). I've often had Poser open for several days at a stretch. So, as shvrdavid suggested, we need to look for triggering factor(s).
P.S. I can think of quite a list of issues that the SM developers have fixed, by the way.

At the time I first noticed it I just had PP14 10.0.3.26066 and a nude vicki in the scene.

I start with just a vicky, pose her and work the camera until I'm happy, and then start adding on extra stuff usually. Anyways I'll try to update but I hate SM's website/store when it comes to getting updates.

You get the updates now through SM Download Manager. The update page is now just a way to get Download Manager.....

Are you sure it's not performing some background task such as texture caching?

I updated it and the issue is still there.
cspear, no idea but it keeps creeping up and never goes back down. Whatever is going on, either vicky or poser, it keeps eating memory.

How much memory is getting added? Texture cache, undo, etc will all add up.

About 8-16kb a second; it's not that big a deal so I'm not that bothered by it, but it's there.

I have tried a few scenes, and am not getting any leak or memory creep.
I wonder if it is an addon doing it. What addons do you have installed?

I'm trying to think, but I haven't added on much. V4 I just have a few morph packages I've saved to an alternative save of it.

I meant scripts that use the addon framework. Anything added to the addon folder is always running, there is no way to turn them off.

Addons are processed from all active runtimes - so there can be more than one place to look.
Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)

I have seen it crawl up as well, ive seen poser pro 2014 use almost 8 gigs to 12 gigs of ram while rendering.

Doesnt happen often but when it does it slows my machine to a crawl, my mouse cursor starts skipping around, I have a quadcore 2.5 Ghz 16 gigs of ram so when poser causes this. This can be troublesome
