16 years ago today, April 10, 1999, this hair model was uploaded to Freestuff...
http://www.renderosity.com/mod/freestuff/?item_id=283
I just had to load it up. Originally it was about the colour and sheen of of Posette's shirt, so I grabbed a texture and bump map; not great, but not horrible.
We've come a long way, Baby... :)

Nice flashback, WandW! :) I think I was still on AOL, which, btw, is wherre my screen name comes from... sorta.
My email address and screenname on AOL was eclark1849@aol.com. I've bveen using it ever since... except here. back when I first joined the Renderosity forum I made a typo and became eclark1894. :D

I believe it was called Funstuff back then :) Soon after that I downloaded PhilC's brass bed and Lady Vethril's Vethril. Oh and remember Nerd's outfit based on Corel's CEO's wife's kinky wear? Funstuff indeed!

Hmmm. I was uploading a ton of stuff daily back then ... I don't recall this hair piece ... what is it called? I need to go back to my P4 runtime! :)

My mother once walked in on me while I had a naked Possette on the screen with, lets say, "ample" breasts :-D
It was quite a hot image as I remember it, shame I can't "Flashback" and load-up that old render for giggles!

@Rod
I suppose there's a slim chance I might still have it on a CDRW somewhere, but to be honest I wouldn't know where to start looking!
BTW, are you that guy on YouTube who does those Poser animations?

No, I don't do much animation. If they are good videos, post the link... :)

I first started with Bryce and got Poser to populate it with people and critters ... The first real render I did was my first image here in my Gallery.
I recall working on the transparency and specularity on the eyes to make them for realistic ... and scaling, transparency layers in the hair for the same reason. The dress was a prop because the figure was from Poser 3. No conforming clothes and no transparencies. All the effects were done in Bryce. I was quite pleased with myself at the time. ;)

For Poser animations I think they're pretty good, the T-Rex looks to have some real weight behind it when it moves around, although I'm not so convinced with the hand-made dynamics on the girls.
I'll include a link to one of the animations, but I'm not sure what people will make of it due to it being one of those fetishes. Needless to say, it's doing pretty damn good for a Poser animation, it was only posted over a year ago and it's already got 682.399 views and a whopping 290 comments, so it look's like this guy has well and truly cornered the market in popular Poser animation.
But yup, I just thought it might be you when I saw that swallowing thing in your image :-D
I showed it to Roxie, she liked the Vickie getting swallowed, and said only a Vickie would be dumb enough to hang around when stuff like that is happening!
She has a point, but anyway, I'm not embedding or linking to it just in case Rendo doesn't allow it.
You'll have to copy and paste this one if you want to see it:

I thought it was pretty funny, especially when T-Rex played marbles with the two skulls at the end :-D
I've decided to read all 290 comments, I see even Bill Gates has posted!

First 3d program I ever used. I evolved to Vue in the mid 2000's because of the vegetation. It was superior ... But there will always be a soft part in my heart for Bryce. :)

Oh, for Brycers ... remember when a great render would take up to 2 weeks to complete. Ah, those were the days, eh?

It was exactly the same for me, Bryce 2 (the first Bryce available for Windows) was my first ever 3D program, and likewise, I've always had a soft spot for Bryce, always will have :-)
DAZ need their freaking asses kicking for what they're doing (or rather not doing) to it!

I'm from 1997. Got Bryce3 first and then Poser 4. Here's my original signature figure, the Dreamspinner, wearing a custom costume created by Nerd and sold for a while in his store. Textures were mine.
