Quickly wraps a blindforld around Baggins head just before he reaches question 8
Too late, WTF, where did that scream come from? :-D

Sorry Tina, couldn't resist, lol, but at least this proves we need another content advisory, one for really bad humour, for members like me to use :-P

Shouldn't this be reposted to the most used subforums so people actually SEE it? I doubt many users check this subforum on a regular basis..

Khai-J-Bach posted Sat, 25 April 2015 at 3:01 AM

well the limited software question was a lie from me.

since there was no "other" answer.. or Sketchup, Silo, Modo, etc to choose from....

Ravyns posted Sat, 25 April 2015 at 11:07 AM

That's why I didn't finish the survey Khai-J-Bach. Nothing there that I use.

Why is this Survey hidden away? Because it is so meaningless? I completed it just to be able

to submit my rating.

Vaskania posted Sun, 26 April 2015 at 1:51 PM

I couldn't bring myself to hit submit. Not fond of the single-answer limitation. I have a few core applications, and the place I spend most of my time isn't even listed. I don't see Hivewire or RDNA on that list, yet you've got Daz sitting there right at the top.

-----sig-----
Daz, Blender, Affinity, Substance, Unity, Python, C#

helgas posted Mon, 27 April 2015 at 1:27 PM

I also noticed the absence of RDNA and Hivewire.

Only about 170 members have looked at the Forum Survey. How many have responded or will respond? From this Renderosity will extract a statistic?

What about the 3,000 to 6,000+ members online day and night? Why are not more members looking at the Forums? What software platforms are

they using? Is Renderosity really interest to know?

I have noticed that the DAZ connection is getting stronger by the month.  The "New" section tells ithe tale.

Couple things, one is, it's not "hidden" lol. it's right there active under SURVEYS?  number, two why do you say only about "170 members have looked at the survey"? It wasn't just posted in this forum, it's in the site announcement tool and under active surveys and on our social media so that number you are trying to put out there isn't accurate at all.........

We didn't list all sites, they would fall under "other" We listed the ones that we felt best suited what information we are trying to gain, that's what a survey is for, it's for our internal use along with other things to determine different things we would like to know more about.  This is just a small multiple choice survey to get an idea of certain information from those that choose to take it. It's fine if someone doesn't take it, it's just a simple quick survey:)

As far as the comment about "daz" connection, I have absolutely no idea what you mean by that. If you are referring to Marketplace products, we support all softwares, all figures, and our vendors each individually decide what they want to create for. That's up to them and what they feel is right for them. We support them all as we always have, that hasn't changed, not even a little. We welcome all.

Khai-J-Bach posted Mon, 27 April 2015 at 3:48 PM

what about the software problem?

I hardly use poser anymore. but thats all I could choose. without at least an "other" option, that question is useless information from me for your survey, since I had to choose something.

StaceyG posted Mon, 27 April 2015 at 3:53 PM

Well if it's other then it is useful information, but the listed out ones are what we want to know about most so if it's not one of the listed ones and it's "other" then depending on what amount is "other" then we might broaden out for different surveys where we want to obtain different info.  We are going to do small quick surveys like this more often so each one will be different based on other varying factors.

Khai-J-Bach posted Mon, 27 April 2015 at 3:55 PM

but there IS no "other" option there!

so.... you want useless information then. shrug its your survey. but mines wrong. I wonder how many others are wrong the same way and how far off accurate your information now is?

waste of time really.

  1. Where is this 'Survey' section? I have looked all over the main site and forums, but can't find it.

  2. I rarely visit the front page and even when I do would never have noticed this in the announcement section. My bookmark takes me directly to the marketplace, and I bet many users do just like me.

  3. With this approach, users who only read Poser forums and never visit farcebook will never see this survey. Aren't you interested in as many users as possible? If you took the effort to post in social media, why not the effort to post in your most used forum??

helgas posted Tue, 28 April 2015 at 12:25 AM

Yes, it is right there under FEATURES. Go to SURVEYS and at the bottom of the page in small print is the Survey.

Nothing looked active, nothing stood out. Nothing there to say "Come take me". Who would check this on a regular basis?

I am not into social media (Facebook) either. I check the Front Page, Whats New, and the Community Forum. This is what I see and

respond to.

The number of 170 views was incorrect. At 11:59 p.m. Central Time the Community Forum on this topic shows 145 views.

I am still looking for the Site Announcement. Eventually it will reveal itself.

Thank you for making the ebots work again.

Edit: Just found Site Announcements on the Front Page. What happened when I clicked on it? Nothing, absolutely nothing.

It is stone dead. No Survey there.

StaceyG posted Tue, 28 April 2015 at 9:31 AM

Like I said previously the number of people taking the survey is way more than what is in a forum view thread and what the forum thread count is has nothing to do with the number of people seeing and taking the survey, it only shows how many people looked at a thread that has little to do on how many have seen the survey??. .and that is because it's been put other places for those that feel it all applies to them and they WANT to take it. This survey will be open for awhile and it will be sent in broadcasts, continuing to be put on social media, etc so like I said previously if you don't want to take the survey then you aren't forced to, if you do because it all applies to you, then great. The question and multiple choice answers are based on the information we want to gather in this specific survey, if you feel it  doesn't all apply to you, then you don't have to complete the survey. This is for specific reasons and the next survey might be more geared to a different group on our site and it might be more appropriate for you to complete.

And helgas, not the Front Page site announcements, the site announcements in your sitemail and also the "announcements" on the far right of the front page not "site announcements section on the front page.. If you click on the survey one it goes to the survey

"Announcements"

Haven't received any sitemail in a couple of weeks..

Bottom line, if I hadn't wandered into this forum because I was looking for something else, I would never have seen this. And I suspect that goes for quite a few more people of your userbase. But by all means, if you are only interested in the opinions of a select few, then I guess it works for you!

helgas posted Tue, 28 April 2015 at 4:20 PM

Thank you Stacey. I would have never found it without your guidance.

Ebots are broken again.
