I was following the tutorial on YouTube by Dreamlight 3d. HERE and it showed under shaders: iray along with glass, wood ... etc. That is not what my DS 4.8 shows and yes I did install the new lights plug-in. It was suggested that the setup and usage may have changed by the time the software was released after the tutorial was made. I would like to know how to create a light-emitter prop with DS. Thanks guys. I'll be here a lot I think. :)

There was a post, somewhere on the DAZ forums, about the Iray shaders being delayed .
Till then the Beta Iray shaders should still be installable.

I've been getting the "lights" install (as suggested at the DAZ forums) fail repeatedly in re-install. I think they must still be working on it. Will try again in the morning. I have to go feed my honey. :)

I noticed they weren't in smart content too. But at least I can search for them in the Content Library and they all come up :). It's a work in progress. Heh.

Yeah ... reloaded in a different directory in DIM and all is good. At least things work out eventually. I am excited about using DAZ Studio now. It has some great features.

Which directory?

Well, I have a directory in a runtime I call Daz 6 and that's where DIM was installing with the new DS. But Now I have all my Poser runtimes added to the DS directory and it's all good.
