So, DuDu.car wins with his cannabis infused homage to Jimi Hendrix.
His ultimate prize is to pick the next weeks topic – which of course would be THIS ONE. But here is his response:
Thank you to have chosen me, but my brain is roasted by the heat for the moment.
I believe that your image is excellent also and that it's your turn, therefore I delegate the choice of the next topic to you.
Thank you for your help !
Based upon his winning image, it's more likely his brain is 'toasted' if-you-know-what-I-mean. That is a lot of words to exclaim, "Duuuuuuuuuuuude." which would have accomplished the same thing.
But, just in case he's telling the truth, the subject for this challenge #15 is "Cool Water"
Deadline is Monday, July 20 at 12 midnight, Hawaii time. (Yes, yes the date is somewhat arbitrary but it will give you plenty of time)
Post your entries in this thread!

I drink to much wine, it's true, but I don't smoke !
And it is true also that I'm completely destroyed by the heat.
Thank you so much !

@Dudu - The whine will keep you hydrated in these trying times.

I was wondering about my manner of living, but you consolidate me in my principles of life !
He, don't think that I'm alcolic, it is only an epicurean mentality.
When I'm working during the day, I drink only milk or water !

Life is all about epicurean checks and balances. :D

with an Antarctic vortex to hit us this weekend we'll have a sh!t load of cool water!!
Mythic3D posted Fri, 10 July 2015 at 6:52 AM
This is just a WIP - I'll finish it this weekend when I have a little more time - I need to work on the lemon slice UV and shader, add some modeled water drops and actually do something with with the lighting (it's just a low quality HDRI and the default light right now) before rendering with good settings.
MarkBremmer posted Fri, 10 July 2015 at 8:54 AM
These are great. I just about sent my morning coffee through my nose when I saw the platypus in the cooler.
I like the WIPs too. To me, sometimes the journey on an image is even more engaging than the final product. I've always liked seeing artists sketches for an image.
But I digress; render-on!

Very nice effort. I hoist a glass of ice water in your general direction!

Here's the final. :)

And.......now I'm thirsty. Nice work on the lemon.

MDO2010 wins with an entry that is anything but watered down. Super effort.
So, here's the deal. MDO2010 Get's to pick the next topic. However, we're going to take a break while the summer months wind down in the northern hemisphere. (Sorry Wonga!) The forums are a bit slow with people that are actually living life outside, away from computers.
Go figure.
We'll crank back up as things cool back down and people are confronted with decisions like:
"Should I go rake leaves/shovel snow or warm myself by cranking up the CPU on Carrara renders?"
or
"I've been lurking on the beach all summer, taking discrete, stalking photos of attractive women in bikinis but don't feel like sorting images right now. I think I'll open Carrara."
So, MDO2010, you can pick the topic now, or I can start a new thread in a couple of months and rattle your cage for the topic then. Just let me know.

Thanks for the price Mark.
Normaly, the water should be 80cms lower, but I would not have been permitted to post this image...
Bravo MDO and Wonga, cool images !

I was thinking "Particles" for the next theme - which gives me a couple months (or however long it is before we start up again) to learn how to use particles, something I've been meaning to do for about the last year. :)
