I'm tempted to buy some textures that were made for the P4 horse. I have Poser Pro 2014, and I wanted to be sure it has the same horse.

I believe it is... but I can't guarantee that it's the same. I want to say a lot of the content from previous versions of poser is carried over to newer versions. Even though some of it is old, it provides a lot of ready to use content. In the 2014 ed, there's a library sub folder that says Poser originals where the horse is located.

Thanks. It looks that way to me, too, so I think I'll take the chance and get the textures. At worst, I'll have to ask for a refund.

In case anyone else is interested in older horse models: The mats look good to me, so Poser must still be providing the P4 horse.

Glad to be of help. Just out of curiosity, where did you find the horse texture? Can you post a small image of what it looks like?

Go to Daz and search "P4 Horse Textures". It's $2 for 10 mats and 10 poses, which works well for my needs and budget. (I would give you a link, but I'm not sure what the forum policies are.)

The downside of old P4 textures is they are not optimized for PP2014 IDL rendering. The nodes need to be reworked to eliminate unnecessary connections and improve texture response to lighting.
