Hi

I'm looking for pose and Expression files for Aiko 3  (not so much Aiko 3 Realistic).  I can find some nice Pose Files From Ilona in what she's brought back from the expired/deleted files but maybe someone's seen more?

Does anybody know where I might find A3 expressions?  They're pretty much non-existant.

Has anybody seen anything like this in going through the Christmas in July expired/ deleted files (I can't figure a way to sort and bring them out specifically) ?

Was any particular artist an expert in the A3 Expression area?

Thank you!

I'm moving your post to the poser forum, because I think you'll have better luck there!

Are you looking for anything specific or free?  DAZ3D still have A3 expression sets.  Aiko3XprssnMagic and Aiko3Xpress are two to mention.

Have you tried looking here in the Rendo Free Stuff area or over at ShareCG? I know there are tons of A3 Poses... Also I know that there's a list of free Aiko 3 resources here with links to the various items.... https://poserdazfreebies.orain.org/wiki/Aiko_3 ... Be warned though that it's fairly extensive so you may need to dig a bit to find what you're looking for...

Check A_'s store here at Rendo. I've used the "Realistic" expressions on toonier versions of A3 (with KIoki). Minor adjustments may be required.

Also, seach RDNA's store for these titles (they're free packs that I believe once sold here @ Renderosity).  "Express Yourself: Aiko 3!" and "Smile for Me: Aiko 3 Realistic!"

I was asked a while back, don't remember who asked, if I was planning A3 expressions (either free or commercial) and the answer is no.  Too much chaos in my life right now and I can't see "reinventing the wheel" since other good packs are available.

Hope this helps.

The Aiko 3.0 Professional Bundle @ Daz also contains some expressions (also sold separately as Aiko3Xpress).  It sounds dumb after all these years, but I sometimes forget about the "little things" that come in the Pro Bundles.

Thank you all!

To answer hborre I am looking for all A3 Expressions (and pose sources) but the reason and the timing for the question is that Renderosity has brought back a lot of expired items that will 're-expire' July 31 as best we've been given. AND Prime may be increasing prices. Too many items to wade through and the search engine doesn't always pull up everything. I thoght somebody might have seen something there or remembered an artist that used to specialize (as ilona and i13 do in their areas).

I have 'expression magic' for V3 and I didn't know there was a package for A3 too. So I learned something there. And Tigger Springs, now I have to go back and see if I have the A3 Professional bundle, which I very well may have!  Good to know that the A3 Realistic might be worth trying.

Free stuff is always good. Only problems I've sometimes seen are (a) only one pose or expression for the effort of the download and archiving (b) expressions that are free sometimes changes the morphs, which is bad if you've INJ'd a character.  I looked at the list. It will take time to go through it. It looks excellent and pretty darned comprehensicve.

I was surprised there is so little out there for A3 in terms of expressions especially. There are some nice character sets that don't look too tooney.

I looked through most of the previously-clearanced product stuff and don't recall seeing expressions for A3, though there were quite a few pose sets. Sometimes pose sets include expressions, though.  I'm not going to claim I couldn't have missed any expression packs within those sale pages, especially since all participating vendors weren't listed on each week's front page (xena, tentman, mininessie, and probably others were left out)l. Since I was originally browsing the sale vendor-by-vendor using the front page listings--I foolishly thought Renderosity's staff was listing all vendors each week--I very well could have missed tons of stuff.I darn near missed Xena's Everday Gear for Aiko 3 being back in the sale since she wasn't listed on the front page for week 5, for instance.

Yep, I totally understand your concern about expressions that don't change morphs. I have a couple of older packs, by vendors whose products that are usually reliably good, that change morphs.  I keep telling myself one of these days I should go through and fix those packs (for my own use)... But, part of me thinks if I'm going to go to that sort of trouble, I might as well make expressions of my own expressions that don't have the issue in the first place.

You're right about using the category search parameters, even on the regular store items (not just the previously-clearanced sale departments). Search here leaves a lot to be desired on a day-to-day basis. When I'm trying to search for Kids 4, for instance, I often get totally inappropriate adult Generation 4 female stuff in results than actual K4 stuff.

I feel your pain concerning the previously-clearanced items that are $3.50 (that will be leaving after the 31st July) vs. the regular Prime items that will be going up on the 1st August.  I have a list of nearly 500 regular Prime items that interest me.  I also had a really long list of the $3.50 previously-clearanced items that still interest me.  Now, I have to figure which items i want more... That's part of one the reason I was so upset about the announcement about Prime items going up: because of the lack of time to pick up the regular Prime items, especially in light of the already available previously-clearanced items sales.  I can't just charge whatever I'd like to credit cards and have everything I'd like from either, let alone both, departments.

Is it asking a lot to know what you have to do to make expression (and Pose) morphs not affect a character? I actually once went back to a base V4++ to create some poses and expressions for my other characters based on V4 to use. All I wound up doing is setting my other characters to the V4++ with my expressions/Poses.  Also, I have a great set of Freebie Pixieluna (I forget - expressions or Poses and whether V3 or V4) that were probably early versions but wind of changing the character's appearance. For everyone who responded to my Aiko3 expressions ( A3 a3expressions) request, I thank you very much. I has been greatly appreciated. I have pulled a lot more from the Aiko3 freebies than I would have expected, though as was noted there really aren't all that many expression morphs to be had in total - paid or free.

And WandW - your links were helpful and your Baggins Bill quotes  made me smile!

Sorry I didn't post to this Aiko3 thread earlier. Till July 31 it was doing my version of the  TiggerSprings thing of trying to decide what I wanted out of Clearance and Prime items the most. I read and followed links but was bad by not writing  to express my appreciation at the responses.

3Dstories

I have something that may work better for you.  Here's a video on A3 facial expression secrets

You'll get better facial expressions for A3 with this technique.  After you make the expression you'll be able to save it to your library and build your own custom expressions for A3

Kalypso posted Mon, 10 August 2015 at 4:38 AM Site Admin

These aren't expressions but in case you don't have them they will be useful with your expressions.  Pengy Teeth and Nice Teeth will help you achieve better smiles or any expressions where A3's teeth show as the default leave a lot to be desired.

Oooh, sorry. I didn't see your question and the notify bots don't work. I don't socialize much in Poserverse these days, so don't often look at the fourms.
Really there is no easy way to modify expressions so they don't affect the morphs.  You have to edit.  You can do this one of two ways that I'm aware of edit each .fc2 file (in a good text editing app) to take out the morph dial references. Or create a "stripped" .Cr2 where you remove all the face dials except the ones related to expressions and use that .cr2 to save expressions. You can use a free utility called Morph Manager to make a stripped .cr2 (don't overwrite your main figure .cr2).

There may be an easier, less time-consuming way, but I'm not sure. Maybe one of the "under-the-hood" Poser gurus can help you there. Sorry.

Okay, well, as for saving poses... Keep in mind, I'm not one of the real gurus of saving them. But here are the basics. Usually, when I set out to try to make poses, I try to remember to use the default figure (no morphs), but sometimes it doesn't work that way. LOL

I don't know if it works, but for existing poses (like packs you've purchased) 3DUniverse's PoseRepair (sold at Daz) might be an option.

Thanks TiggerSprings!    Sorry for the delay, I just checked the thread.

RE: Creating Poses that do not affect morphs

It sounds like editing the fc2 and Cr2 is the way to go and I have to find a tutorial somewhere that steps me through what  need to get rid of to create a meaningful pose or expression that won't affect morphs.  I do have morph manager and I think I used it for something a while back, but not exactly this problem. More likely something clothing related or clean-up related.  I'll take a look at 3D Universe's Pose repair as you suggest.  Since you've given me the thought I'll also search through D3D and Phil C. Offerings.

I read your diagram and I pretty much do most of what you suggest already, even though I don't understand why I do it. For example, I do not yet know what 'Goal Center of Mass" and 'Center of Mass do'  other than I thought that if you had them as functions turned on they would try to balance your figure in a realistic manner, which never seemed to quite work for me.  For saving poses I do uncheck the morph channels box, but, again,  I'm not sure if it does anything for me.

You're welcome, as I said, I'm not one of the Poser "under-the-hood" experts, but I hope I helped some. I don't ever recall seeing a tutorial on saving expressions so they don't affect morphs.  That doesn't mean one doesn't exist.  Good luck. :)
