Ok I made this pillar thing with drapes....but I was hoping to mirror it on either side of the scene. Now I thought there was a way to mirror an object in DS...but I cant find a way to do it.
Any suggestions?

If you use New Node Instance in the Create menun it makes an exact copy of the selected item which can then be moved wherever it's needed.

Does setting the X & Z scale to -100% do it?
If not I'm out of ideas.

Only set one axis to -100% - setting two axes to -100% is the same as a rotation around the third axis.

Not sure whether it will do what you want, but look at http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/artzone/pub/software/symmetry/start
Alternatiely copy the item as suggested above and change the horizontal scale (probably the X-scale) to -100% as suggested by cunningf
I am assuming DS rather than Poser....
