Subject: odd render distortion with IRay

lululee ( ) posted Thu, 27 August 2015 at 4:29 PM · edited Thu, 28 November 2024 at 9:09 PM

Hi,
I am having problems with the IRay render dimensions.
I rendered these 2 images with the same "General" render settings. 400x400 with Constrain Dimensions" On.
3Delight renders very as it should. IRay is distorted.
Any advice is appreciated.

When you are all set to render what you see in the aux viewport? if it looks like that on right change the aux viewport camera view to the same as your main window. Been caught a few times I don't always use the viewport but when I do and its open I noticed that if I click render it will be that camera Iray uses not the main preview screen

And here I was looking at the apparent differences in displacement. LOL.

Adjusting the Iray displacement settings, and especially the SubD Displacement level should clear that up, but don't get crazy with the SubD Displacement level. LOL.
