I find that I cannot put an external link in a message in a forum now. This is a big nuisance.

The Markdown format for adding links isn't that bad once you get used to it (although it's yet another 'language' to learn :oS) - square brackets enclosing the text you want to display, followed immediately by round brackets enclosing the URL...
for example [this link](https://www.renderosity.com/mod/forumpro/?thread_id=2893559)
...which displays as this...
for example this link
The 3Dcheapskate* occasionally posts sensible stuff. Usually by accident.
And it usually uses Poser 11, with units set to inches. Except when it's using Poser 6 or PP2014, or when its units are set to PNU.
*also available in ShareCG, DAZ, and HiveWire3D flavours (the DeviantArt and CGBytes flavour have been discontinued).

I agree. You can also use the greater than less than signs to create a link. You simply put the link in the middle of them. :)

I feel 'Markdown' is a really big step backward. It's like telling people to go to a vintage clamshell phone because you can do text instead of that bothersome swiping, and that the clamshell is 'pretty good' once you get used to it.
