I started to TRY and get used to the new style gallery and how it works...it was SO much easier before to choose the genre and my preferred software category...now there is the LONG list on the side to choose from and things do not load well OR when I'm in one person's gallery, and want to view a specific image, it WON'T LOAD AT ALL - the page itself won't load...and a couple of times I got a "there is a problem with the certificate" ?!?!?
We used to be able to click on a person's user name to go right to their gallery, but clicking on the main name does not work, I have to click on the name by the title below the image...it's like all the inter-linking does not work yet, maybe? For either a user name/gallery AND/OR trying to go see one image in that gallery...
The site seems so very slow now, overall... but you know...there is STILL no place quite like Renderosity's gallery for INTERACTION with others that makes me keep TRYING, in spite of my utter frustration with the site....
IE 11 with win7 on VERY fast high end machine with fast connection to the net and PLEASE do not tell me to use another browser, I NEVER will, I personally hate those (tried em, don't like them). I'm at home in IE. Thanks.
Life Requires Assembly and we all know how THAT goes!

Hey @Lyne-- I just got word that the programmers are working on making changes to the galleries. So sorry for the inconvenience. Therefore, please look out for the changes within the next week.
Thanks so much for your dedication! We appreciate you being a member of our community!

Yes I know that - my point is that I am finding I am not checking it in the absence of getting emails. I WANT to get the emails, and cannot understand why there is not an option to do so. Without the reminders, this site may fall into disuse (as far as I am concerned).

@Phil I've answered you directly on this multiple times, check your activity feed for updates on artists you are following.

Wow. That is an aggressive and harsh answer. Who or what is BWSupport? I have been a 2D painter and draughtsman for 45 years, and now am trying to learn 3D art. If BWSupport does not know how to interface with an artistic community, it/he/she should not attempt to do so. The e-mails we were getting listed the artist who had uploaded new art, had a link to the specific art in question, and a link to the gallery. We don't always have the time to check the Activity Feed, which seems to be a new paradigm introduced solely for the sake of novelty, when the old way was a far better solution, and a straightforward, much simpler approach. If Renderosity is going to start bashing us for having opinions, then the idea of community is already dead.
GeofiX posted Thu, 03 September 2015 at 1:27 PM
rubel, I agree with you completely.
Glitterati3D posted Thu, 03 September 2015 at 1:55 PM
BWSupport = Bondware Support. Bondware owns Renderosity and is also the author of the software running this site.
BWSupport basically equates to the "programmers" the community managers keep referring your issues to.
rubel posted Thu, 03 September 2015 at 3:18 PM
Glitterati3D - Bondware! Of course. I had long since forgotten Bondware was Renderosity. I did suspect that the answers we were given by BWSupport were coming from programmers, which is neither good nor bad. Attitude, now that's a horse of another stripe.

I'm assuming the main website is www.bondware.com , https://www.linkedin.com/company/bondware-inc ??, the site made for some interesting reading...
Cybermonk posted Thu, 03 September 2015 at 11:33 PM
Actually I checked checked BWsupport forum stats and posts and on one he signed it "Tommy Lemon
Vice President, Renderosity". So the attitude is goes all the way up.

Cybermonk - yeah, I doubt seriously that Bondware cares even one whit whether I spend less time here or not, especially if the attitude goes all the way up, as you say. One less shopper isn't going to hurt them. Bondware looks to be a pretty big company now, so Renderosity is probably nothing but pocket change to them at this point. Who cares about some old art community, right? The moderators probably care what we say, but in the face of Bondware and its programmers I doubt they have much power. Too bad. It used to be a nice place to visit. I don't post much at all, but I have certainly read much that bagginsbill and those who discuss things with him have written. It helped me to understand Poser a lot more, enough so to move on to modo, which is probably where I'll spend more of my time now.
A_Joker_B - (I can't wait to see what Markdown does with that name!) yeah, I didn't go to the linkedin site, but I did look them up elsewhere, and see that they have a footprint in the news industry. So I'm sure we're just small potatoes now. I can imagine them selling off Renderosity at some point in the future.
Cybermonk posted Fri, 04 September 2015 at 8:34 AM
It's always bad when the bean counters get involved. They tend to be short sighted and unable to see the big picture. As the saying goes they will lose a dollar trying to save dime. The poor mods are taking all the heat. I can just imagine the Leadership giving a pep talk>>>> GO PLACATE THE PEONS..WE ARE TAKING THESE ELEPHANTS OVER THESE FREAKIN MOUNTAINS!!!!!! (hops out of sarcasm mode). :)

MistyLaraPrincess - I think they are on the light gray bar below the darker gray/black top banner, with Submit near the center and Upload Art (or something like that) to the far right.

When you go to the Gallery Home you should see a green upload button on the top right hand side. Please let me know if you don't see it.
Also, when checking the submission page I'm seeing both Submit and Preview. Is this what you are not seeing? The actual submission page buttons? :)

MistyLaraPrincess - that is wonderful detail, which is something I really like. A stack of books, an open book, a piece of fabric coming out of the coffee-table chest, chairs and stools and table props, the canes, the detail on the wood, the linen on the kitchen table covering a bit of food (bread?), a serving of corn, and turkey and red meat (poor little puppies - I'm a vegetarian). The lighting is well handled, especially the brighter light that comes in from the outer foyer that creates a nice light shadow. It almost looks Bavarian. especially with the wall hangings and sled. Very nicely done and well composed. Nicely done, indeed. And very nice light projections from the lamps, as well. I might have put a tiny bit more yellow (ever so slightly) in the flame above the kitchen table, but it's still an A-plus.
