I'm a songwriter/composer and am currently working on a Science Fiction multimedia story for students. I'm looking for someone who would be interested in illustrating my project. I could provide inspiration for the renders, as well as detailing what it is I'm after as far as design and mood. This would be a free venture with credit and acknowledgement of the artist's renders. If interested, we could discuss the matter further. I live in southwestern Ontario. I'm currently posting this request at Conestoga College Digital Arts program. If you lived in the area, even better. This is just a shot in the dark, but I've known artists with great talents who are always looking for inspiration and ideas. I think I can provide a unique inspiration through my compositions - in intricate part of my project. Let me know if interested and we can discuss what it is I'm looking for in renders. Thanks for taking the time! Bill

Hi Rubicon, you may want to check out the Blender Artist site. Blender Artist They have a volunteer area in their forums. :)

Hi Rubicon, it might help if you give a ball park idea of the project details, as in number of images and or pages and what not as well as a time frame for the work to be done in; and an artist might be more inclined with the additional information. Maybe give an idea of the style of art, as in serious realism, or cartoony too.

The dust settled, thinking "what a fine home, at least for now" not realizing that doom would soon be coming in the form of a vacuum cleaner.

Thanks Kazam: Should I post this information in the Community Forum. Which other forums might be useful. Right now the project is a prototype with 5 renders for a 'flipbook' reading/imagination project with each turn of the page adding a new soundscape or song. Many times a render will inspire me, that's the way my mind works. I'm more of simply a secretary for my imagination. Realism is what I'm after, landscapes, figures and scenes. Therefore, I'd love to discuss with someone who is interested, but I will provide more details, including artists with the type of renders I'm looking for. Thanks again. I wish I had the time to learn 3D software, but alas my projects are nipping at my heals.

Thanks too, hopeand love. I'm not a digital artist so I'm not often visiting the forum. Any help is appreciated.

That would be great. I have several artists interested and so like the team approach. Your forte seems to be characters if I'm not mistaken. I assume you work in Poser? How about landscapes in programs such as Vue. I'm a writer/songwriter and wish I had the time to learn to use Poser and Vue as a tool. A fellow artist suggested I call upon expertise within the various art communities such as this one. I can give you some ideas of what I'm looking for by giving you the names of a few artists to give you an idea of what I'm after. Again, if not made clear, this is to help illustrate a Sci-Fi multi-media story for students (using the classroom smartboard as well as individual computers in the lab or at their desks). It's an ambitious project and I have several teachers on board to test out the proto-types. There is nothing like this project currently available in schools, as there are few writers who can both write prose, poetry but especially compose music and create songs as part of the student's adventure. I'm not often on this site and would recommend you write to me at corvotheopera@yahoo.com We can discuss how you can be a help to me and my team there, as well as introducing you to the artists mentioned above. I'm Bill, by the way, from Canada. Please feel free to get in touch and we can get started.
