Hi
I am planning to switch to use Octane to render in Poser.
I would ask for a clarification.
Poser engine render uses the CPU - No way to use GPU Firefly engine render uses the CPU - No way to use GPU
Octane engine render uses the GPU
Am I right or wrong?
Thank you.

I believe you are right. In the past when I asked this, that's the response I got.

You'll need the Octane render stand alone version, in order to use the Poser-OctaneRender plug-in. Yes, it is using the GPU.

Not an expert, so I think, with the latest updates, Octane switches to system RAM, when the Graphic-card RAM is not enough. This could result in longer render-times. Best is, you fight yourself through this forum: https://render.otoy.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=45 face_off is allways very helpful. :)
