Head/ear morphs made in Hex, Daz's body morphs for his body. I am working on a MR from M4 to G3M with permission from the vendor, so the next pics are progresses that I've made so far in the diffuse and bump maps. I've used CS5 and Blacksmith 3D for the texture work. skin test 2.jpg skin test.jpg Skin Update Upper torso.jpg torso needs work.jpg back seam check.jpg seam check knuckle issue.jpg seams on fingers.jpg

Still a few issues to work out, but progress!

Might I offer an observation...... Having taken many classes and workshops in figure drawing I very quickly observed that most people do not have flawless smooth skin. Might I suggest that you consider adding some "flaws" to this guys skin....

DarwinsMishap posted Sun, 27 December 2015 at 2:55 PM

Thank you, everyone. As for flaws, he only has the basic moles and a few pits here and there in his face due to the fact I'm still working on the basic map; getting rid of seams, taking care of his hands and other issues. I like flaws. There'll be some. ;)

Great, I love people who look like actual people,...... I hope I didn't offend you as that was never my intent... I'll look forward to seeing the final product.

I'm very hard to offend. ;) None taken, and I always, always appreciate input and suggestions-although I do edit through them if I happen to get quite a few. I've gotten very good input from very good artists and even some non-artists that give me that "something isn't right". That's valuable, considering if it doesn't look or "feel" right to the untrained eye it is not going to pass a trained eye. I'm doing a test render of the upper portion of his body with a tester normal map set I just finished; hopefully I'm on the right track and once the base skin is finalized I can add that to amp the details.

Ok- so a lot has happened with this one. I went with another skin. The most updated version (third one, actually) so far is below. :) The following after are various tests with the second choice I made before the final was decided on.

I see Mr Mishap is at it again. As expected it is all excellent. Equally impressive is your running commentary and progress updates when you start these build threads. Keep up the great work. :-)

Looks like Talon will have an offsider in my library. Hopefully you have started a trend here DM coz the Rendo Daz forum sure needed a coat of paint IMO.

Why, thank you on both counts LPR. :) I think it's a good thing for people to see how things progress, share the process and what's been learned. It's part of how I learned.
