In Poser 10, when I create a magnet, only the magnet zone is visible, not the magnet and base, even if the properties tab says they are visible. The dials work on the magnet, but I like to work with it by moving it around.

Is it possible that you have under "Display > Deformers > Hide all" selected?

My #1 complaint about Poser is that things behave inconsistently, which makes it hard to figure out the reasons for things. Sometimes when I load a magnet, it is visible at first and then it turns invisible, and sometimes it loads already invisible. Also, the appearance of the magnet changes, without my having changed any settings. Sometimes it is the red horseshoe magnet with the yellow base. Sometimes it is a little downward arrow and a dot. Sometimes it is green. Sometimes it is purple. I saved a magnet to my props folder, and it looked different when I got it out again. It's ok, but it feels like Poser is rolling dice. With a lot of things. Thanks for the tip about the deformers.
