Since I'm here, I may as well post some stuff.
Let's start with a Mandelbulb obj file!
http://www.sockratease.com/3d/zipz/mandelbulb_obj.zip
I finally got Sockratease.com (last few times I tried some college's philosophy department had it - but it was available when I was offered a chance to get a site for making somebody else a site, so I grabbed it!).
The Mandelbulb is a 3D version of The Mandelbrot Set - one of the most famous fractals. This is the "Power 8" bulb, one of the nicer variations.
It's about 8 MB for the zip file, but the bulb is about 30 MB. Fractals are notoriously high poly objects.
Here's a quick image of it :
Since gifs don't animate on this site, here it is being dropped on a Cow's head : http://s106.photobucket.com/user/sockratease/media/cowbulb_zpsbec7bc40.gif.html
It was made using Mandelbulb 3D, FIJI, and Meshlab. Because 3 programs are better than one! Or something like that...
Looking through my 'puters for other Fractal obj files. I know I have quite a few and if people like them I'll post more.

You're welcome.
Thank you both for checking it out.
Glad folks like it.
It's got very basic UV mapping so image textures work.
And I admit that this thread may possibly be a covert effort to get some attention for the Fractals section of the forum. They wanna delete it!
I'll have to find more of these.
Or make some with the newer software out there! This was done 4 years ago. It may be possible to do better now...

Thanks UVDan
Here;s one that I found versatile enough that it worked it's way into several renders : http://www.sockratease.com/3d/zipz/thingy.zip
And some preview pics:
I use Carrara, and this one works great with it's modifiers like "Bend and Twist" or other deforming tricks.
File size is similar to the bulb in the first post.
Guess I'll edit that post to include this, and all future links...
EDIT - Nevermind! Can't edit that post!! Guess that's a limit placed for some reason, but it may be a good idea to allow it in certain cases like this so folks don't need to read through whole threads to find all links

This one looks great too. You could add some legs and and antennas and a face and have an awesome character.

Thanks again, Dan! I always thought that one looked like a Trilobite or something.
I had a crazy busy weekend! Couldn't get back here.
But here's another one that I get a lot of use from! It's a sort of tiara like fractal made from an Iterated Function System formula. The obj is very rough and not good for close ups, but in some circumstances, and with the right camera angles/distance or textures, it is also quite versatile!
Here are some pictures...
Untextured and at normal scale:
And if you scale it along one axis (maybe 2 or 3, but separately!) it can be made to fit people's heads!
It also makes a nice splash for when your cow jumps out of a tree and into the lake!
That's actually on the home page at Sockratease.com while I build a proper site!
And, of course, a link to the 4Mb zip file containing a 31 Mb obj file.
Direct: http://www.sockratease.com/3d/zipz/tiara.zip
It's also got a very basic uv mapping. I gotta learn how to do that properly someday...
