I'm looking for SnarlyGribbly's wonderful snow machine, but I'm unable to find it. I'd write my own, only I'm currently short 40 IQ points.

So far it works in poser 11, but you have to use firefly renderer. Superfly doesn't seem to like alternate diffuse. If anyone knows how to make superfly use alternate diffuse let me know. Thanks

I have a good setup for both FireFly and SuperFly using a mask. You can find it all here :

Nice, but a mask would be difficult to do for each object in a complex scene. I noticed some good materials in that thread. But need the add to top surface only mod. Maybe I can dissect that part out of snarlys work.

"Superfly doesn't seem to like alternate diffuse." Not true at all. Not the reason.
Superfly doesn't like to do math with the output of lighting nodes. (Bsdf-type nodes) These can be combined using a more limited set of nodes - usually Blender, Fresnel_Blend, Color_Math:Add, Mix Closure, or Add Closure. We usually adjust to SF by moving arbitrary math to the INPUTS of such nodes instead of the outputs.
Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)
