its not fully functional though as it once was...
for example, look at the list and then put your mouse over a person's name -- the name is a link; however, click the link and see just how far you get... [shrug]

[i'm] also curious, even moreso now that i've lines to count, why it says roughly that there are 2900 people onsite at the mo', but in hand counting, i only seem to come up with roughly 280...
what's that all about?
are we still using the 10x multiplier in the general calculation seen in the upper left corner of the site's layout in regards to the number of folks online? and/or are we to assume that of the 2900 "members" , 2600 users are just wandering by, therefore they are actually NOT members, thus are NOT showing in the Who's Online dropdown? all quite confusing and probably inaccurate in one way or another...

Hi @Giana -- I've put this issue into the program we use for bugs/problems on our site. I'll keep you posted on when it's taken care of.
As for the number of members on the site, the number in the upper left-hand corner is counting people who have created a profile as well as people who are here viewing the galleries and forums. The number that you see for the "Who's Online" page are members who have created an actual profile.
Thanks so much for letting us know about the "Who's Online" page redirecting you to the members profile.

So you are saying "members" online are not actually registered members? That they are members and guests? Also oddly the "members" online never fluctuates from its 2700 to 3050 range.
Registered members only make up around 10% of people online here. Wow.
