Hi All,

I am new to Daz 4.9 and am wanting to know a couple things.

First is there a place to see what units I am working in Daz?

Second is there a way to convert a Poser Camera to a Daz camera by formula?

I could really use a hand on this as I have City Block 01 in production,

and have about 124 cameras to convert, and I do not want to do it by trial and error.

Please be kind as I am very new to the software...

Tom

The DS units are centimetres.

I'm not aware of a camera converter - though knowing that the unit is the cm may help (remembering that DS treats Poser content as if 1 Poser native unit was eight feet).

For physical objects basic unit is centimeter

When creating primitives from menu, you may specify desired unit (feet, meters, etc) but tranlations xyz remain in cm

Lighting system have pulldown to select unit properties(i.e., lumens/cm2)

For cameras, I have never felt need to convert when bringing in poser scene. I do delete the shadow cams and builtin cams (dolly, front, top, etc) that are not being used. I change the name of MAIN_CAMERA to something more descriptive (personal taste).

I have not noticed any difference in perspective or FOV in an imported viewed in DS
