I've checked the Shader Tree Methods and Shader Node Methods sections of the PoserPython manual and can't see any way to select a node or group of nodes.
I'm writing wacros to add useful node groups, and want to ensure that all the nodes I create are selected so that they can be easily repositioned by hand.

And it usually uses Poser 11, with units set to inches. Except when it's using Poser 6 or PP2014, or when its units are set to PNU.

I do not believe that option is available.

Thanks Phil, that was the conclusion I'd come to - but since I often overlook things I thought it best to ask.

you need to access the shadertree method and work through the nodes. there is no way I know to select a group of nodes.
I have a couple scripts that add nodes to the shadertree to do like tatoo overlays.

The selection of nodes does appear to be a UI-only thing, as gadgetgirl suggested here https://community.hivewire3d.com/threads/poserpython-selecting-node-s-in-the-material-room.811/. Bagginsbill also confirmed what you and PhilC said, i.e. that there's no way to do it https://forum.smithmicro.com/topic/138/poserpython-can-i-set-material-room-nodes-as-selected
