20 minutes ago, TMZ reported that Prince's body was found at his Paisley Park home in Minnesota early this morning. He was 57.
Rest In Peace Prince. Your music inspired many people in my generation & you will be missed. May the Purple Rain forever shower upon you!
Have a creative day!

I'm sorry to hear that. I heard the news that someone's body had been found but they didn't say whose.

I am hoping this isn't true. TMZ isn't a very reliable source. Sadly it does seem to be true. http://www.msn.com/en-us/music/celebrity/pop-superstar-prince-dies-at-his-minnesota-home/ar-BBs4NLJ?ocid=ansmsnent11

BBC are reporting the death of Prince at 57. Pretty reliable source, I'd say.
RIP, Mr Nelson, You were one of a kind.

Looks like someone is building a great band with a lot of genious musicians.

I was watching MSNBC and they were doing yet another examination of the Trump/Cruz campaigns when they said there was a breaking story. After that it was All Prince, All Day. I never saw Michael Jackson in concert but I'm glad I saw Prince. It takes genius to take the genre further and break down walls.
The most interesting thing about Prince is just how kind he really was. He loved that air of mystery so few knew that he gave money to help the parents of murdered Trayvon Martin. That he would give free concerts and pancake breakfasts and that he was a lot cooler than anyone knew.
Rest in Peace Purple one.

What killed him? That's what I want to know. He was only 8 years older than me. I am hearing rumors of drugs. He was found in an elevator?

They truly don't know. As far as anyone knows there was no foul play. There were drugs at his house but they won't say what kind!

Apparently he has a prescription drug that had opium in it. Overdose is being tossed around. Too many greats are dropping dead in the last couple years. The current pop noise trying to pass as music doesn't fill the void. It's a sad, sad time for us.

Not opium, opioids. Same stuff as I take, and for, it seems, similar reasons. Arthritic pain. They are the main reason I gave up alcohol entirely a few years ago.
Poor guy.

My bust. I read it wrong I guess.
I know full well what arthritis does to you. I have it in my hands, which is what got me into Poser to begin with. And also put a grinding halt to my guitar playing. I never took anything for it, so that's my bust too.

I still play guitar but my hands feel like they're on fire after a bit. Tell you what, though, all that macho crap about heavy strings is just that... crap. Billy Gibbons gets monster tone with very light strings, so I'm switching down to lighter sets on all my axes. Except the bass. I really don't think a set of 8's would cut it. :D
It's mainly my knees, ankles and hips with the old arthrits, so star jumps are out of the question now.

The lightest gauge I could play and not bust an E string were 9's. I tried 8's for awhile but went back to 9's after I went through 6 E strings in the span of a gig. Now I mostly sit behind the board and record and mix my fellow musicians. My brother wants to put together a family band with me at vocals. Yeah, right.

Do it. If he reckons you can cut it, at least give it a shot.
I hear you about 8's but I have to try. Way I see it is, No pain... gain.

Ah, we'll see. I don't know if I will have the time. I am still a seaman right now. I am never home.
