Hello, I have a big problem concerning the export of an object created in Carrara and its interpretation in other programs. If I load this.obj in Poser, no problem but, if I load it in c4d or Realflow, the object appears “mirrored” (see captures). I'm guessing that there are not only axes Y and Z which must be reversed. Does somebody know this problem and is it a solution? In the worst case, it is possible to reverse an object in the modeling room? Thank you.!

Weird.
I don't have either of those programs but I found a thread on the issue at http://www.realflowforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=1269. They don't really offer any good suggestions (suggestions included using .lwo instead of OBJ, or importing with scale of -1) for fixing it, but at least you know you are not the only one having the problem.
Maybe try flipping it in Carrara prior to export? To do so select the whole thing in the vertex modeler and use EDT>FLIP. it will end up upside down and need to be rotated back so the top is facing up but once you do that it should also be flipped left to right.
Below is a screenshot to show the flip command in use. I used a quick shape with just enough detail to tell if it flipped correctly, duplicated it and then used the flip command on the duplicate, and then finally I rotated the duplicate on the x-axis to get is oriented with the top up instead of down. In my test I had the symmetry plane aligned to one of the leftmost points on my original object, but I don't think that is actually necessary.

Hi Mark!
I thought that there were only two options for the axes (Z or Y upwards), but I found a few options of importation in RF.
YXZ (LW, c4d…), ZXY (3DSMax, Maya…) and YZX (xsi, Maya, Houdini…) and it is this last preset which it should be used when one imports a still .obj in RF…
To import an animation in RF, it is necessary to export from Carrara in .MDD (LW), load it in c4d to transform it into .sd file for RF. The Fenric's MDD plugin has an option to reverse the axes. Now, that work for me...
Thank you for your research on this subject and also for the explanations in the vertex modeler !
Cheers!
