I downloaded some nice looking guitars in collada format from Sketchup but whenever I try to import them into Poser, it rolls over and dies.
Any workarounds for this? Failing that, how can I convert Sketchup's native format to a Poser friendly one?
I use Poser Pro 2012 64 bit on Win 7 and me units are in inches.
Ta muchly.

You could try to install sketchup and import it into that and try to export it again in OBJ or something and see if that works.

the equation is
SU > Blender > export DAE/OBJ > DS/poser
SU seems to have DAE issues, been having issues going to poser from there with my own models, but Blender can correct them just by import/export. you can install SU and then use TIG's OBJ Export script over at Sketchucation forums, but thats not always reliable.

Just a heads up Sam, on the SmithMicro page the discussion of Collada infers the use of Poser Pro 2014, NOT 2012. So this might be the core of your issue. It's not stated, but the implication is that it doesn't work in previous versions. I've never had 2012 so I don't know that is mentioned in the import/export file with it. I could be off.

DAE import has been in since PoserPro ;) - same import module as well. and I've had SU to Poser issues all along with it. it's an SU issue (had the same issues going to Daz Studio and Meshlab) but running though Blender fixes 'em.
