I have Poser 11. I am re-rendering some .pz3 files which I last rendered in November 2011. How can I make shadows sharper and more definite?

In FireFly or SuperFly? I suppose you must be dealing with SuperFly. In SF the light size matters - adjust scale.

For example, if you're using a point light, it's actually a sphere which size you can actually see in the preview.

Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)

In Firefly. Has anything in Firefly changed since November 2011?

In Firefly, use Shadow Blur Radius:-

Thanks. I found how to do it. See https://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/?image_id=2688860 .

I noticed that the shadows of the figures/craft on that gallery image are much darker than the shadows of the fence on the backdrop image. By simply dialing down the 'Shadow' parameter of your light from the default 1.0 you should be able to more or less match up the shadow 'darkness' with your backdrop...

The 3Dcheapskate* occasionally posts sensible stuff. Usually by accident.
And it usually uses Poser 11, with units set to inches. Except when it's using Poser 6 or PP2014, or when its units are set to PNU.
