It looks like Ali's personal site and is packed with lots of stuff. I didn't need to be logged in.
Ali is one of my favorite vendors, it's good to see what that fertile mind has come up with!

Oooh I love getting new things - we Poser users are not used to them as of late. :) Thanks for the heads-up Timberwolf. Here's my version of Bella, Bella Donna.

Oh, renember, its a beta. The finished product will be at a charge - i guess. As I played with it, Bella seems to have a good JCM system. Her bendings look nice. I do like her smile. It is a obviousley a big problem to let a figure smile nicley, but Ali is good at it. I've allways liked his Angela figures, that also used to bend well because of a decent JCM setting. Mimics have also been one of the strong features by Ali. I would have done improvements to Bella's default shape: Her scull looks to small and make her ears look to big. A slightley bigger skull would fit better to her body. Her knees appear to be to bulky. Her body shapy is well done though. Bummer no additional groups, like pelvis or upper chest. However, I like this beta Bella. Way better even now, than Pauline will ever be. Looking foreward to the finished product.

I think the fitting room works with all figures, it's not like the face room. Can't say for sure though because I just used a dynamic dress.

Well the Figure is compatible with Standard Poser Figure motion Data, I created a quick walk Cycle for her using Iclone Pro

Oh, dear, where can we give feedback.... => Ah, I just see, I hope they read their "contact" mails.
I am gonna stop here, and send them a feedback mail this evening. => I hope they read it.
Euh, yes the fitting room can use all "PROPERLY WELDED figures".
Not sure about this collection of loose groups, and some verts, combined with the way the rigging was done, will certainly destroy "close fitting" clothes.
3DFineries posted Mon, 08 August 2016 at 1:30 PM
Figure does look promising. Tony, as far as symmetry, humans aren't symmetrical to begin with. I think it adds to the realism when a figure isn't either. Just my humble opinion.

I send this feedback on their site.
I downloaded and tested Bella-Beta. PS ; I am a beta tester for Smith Micro Poser
So far I found :
The obj file is not symmetrical. About 300 vertex pairs are not symmetrical.
All groups are unwelded in the obj file.
And all vertex at all welds have a double. You have 1639 doubles. (All verts at all welds have a double.)
The weightmap painting also has different weights on the double vertex at all welds. Mostly visible in the Shoulders when bend.
The weightmaps and the bulge maps are fighting each other. => Also in the collar-shoulder area.
REMARK : Did you use the obj file that Poser exported for you from the setup-room? Because these obj files do NOT work, and always have to be replaced by externally build and properly grouped and welded obj files.
Poser only saves out individual groups, and uses its internal rewelding system to reweld the groups to a single figure at import when you load the cr2.
This would explain that the figure is not symmetrical any more, (Poser also adds a slight shift in X at obj file safe), that all groups are unwelded and that you have 1639 double vertex in the figure.
If required, I can make a video with my findings, or send screengrabs if you provide an e-mail address.
Best regards, Tony
tonyvilters posted Mon, 08 August 2016 at 1:44 PM
@ 3DFineries
In this case the obj file is supposed to be symmetrical, but it is not, because they used a Poser exported obj file that causes all their trouble. => Including the weightmap fighting that they had to apply to cover the double vertex at welds.
Poser is UNABLE to export a properly grouped and welded figure.
It only exports loose groups and uses its internal rewelding system to "reconstruct" the figure at import.

It doesn't matter that much, that the figure is asymetrical. It is about the mesh, that has to be symetrical. Tony, how do you make those loose vertices visable?

Some screengrabs.
the collar bend back. There is a vertex out of order at each arrowtip. This pulls the group outline for the collar away from the actual weld.
tonyvilters posted Mon, 08 August 2016 at 2:30 PM
This is the waist group bend backwards some 20° See the single vertex in the middle being pulled out of alignment?? Again visible if you look at the groupoutline, and compare this with the group outline of the hip that is still at the weld.
tonyvilters posted Mon, 08 August 2016 at 2:31 PM
Bella shoulders down. Again multiple verts (that should all be at the weld line) are pulled out of alignment when the shoulders bend down..
tonyvilters posted Mon, 08 August 2016 at 2:43 PM
in Blender, you can pull all groups out without deformations because they are not welded.
This is impossible with a properly grouped and welded figure. So, LOL, the image below is what is NOT supposed to happen. LOL.
tonyvilters posted Mon, 08 August 2016 at 2:47 PM
But???
The above is a clear example of how Poser saves its OWN object files, because Poser counts on its onw "rewelding when importing code" to reweld the figure in the viewport.
Yeah, i have to make a video about this too.

The GOOD news:
First of all I really like the meshflow. A Job well done.
Secondly, some nice options used on the eyes and the Jaw.
I see a lot of morphs in the making. NICE !
And Ali contacted me back, so we can communicate and improve this beta to a very nice figure.
Did I say I really like the mesh? This is gonna be a good figure when finished.

i feel a little bit sorry for him. To clean up the mesh he had to redo all the JCMs, right? That will throw him back a lot. See, those are the cases, where Poser makes you rip off your hair. and yes, it's gonna be a very good figure.

That face and that outfit kind of reminds me of Shakira's "Hips Don't lie". But... let me save you a lot of work. She could be the best looking figure on the planet and look and work absolutely perfectly, but if she don't have that support network needed, she'll just end up on the pile with the rest of them. I'm not saying don't try, I'm saying get vendors behind you who will help support her from day one.

I predict a more than 90 percent probability that the above is her exact fate. She offers nothing over V4 even after all of Tony Vilters Corrections to the mesh.
But alas she could be a nice temporary distraction for some seeking something new to explore She sure takes Standard poser animation data like she was born to it.

There is nothing much to loose. In my case I don't use Poser anymore, because there isn't any on top of the times usable figure out there for me. Pauline is a fail, PE is delayed and nothing more yet about Venus and Orion. So we have Bella with some serious mesh issues, but looking very good right out of the beta-box. Most important at all: she bends better than any other poser figure.

Here are some other poses. If anything looks way off it's probably me and my posing since I didn't use any reference. I must say I don't really fancy those bulges on the inner thighs at just above the knee. In the third image I scaled the head larger and also tried to give her a thinner waistline, again just by scaling.
@Laurie Wow, thank you!

Just for the record: there is an updated version (beta 080) for download now. Not sure what has changed but it works well. One thing I noted was that the UV mapping of the body was updated. Not grossly but merely a relaxation of the mesh. I found it because I use adapted texture maps, the red bikini is quite disrupting when working on clothing, and I had black edges appearing around the upper torso. The templates are not yet updated and are still the ones that came with version beta076.
