Snarlygribbly's EZskin3 HAS a hair shader built in that does wonders for transmapped hair in Superfly (Cycles). It is free at CGbytes and of course is fantastic for cycles skin shaders. PBR (Physically based rrender) which Cycles is considered to be according to most ... (covering all my bases bb )

I've been testing the ezskin cycles shaders since yesterday and they need work. https://forum.smithmicro.com/topic/595/cycles-based-plugin-s-for-ezskin3/46
there is talk of a build 89 but I can only find build 88 and I think CGBytes version is even older.

I would like to hear what kind of work it needs. I have been working for months now on this plug-in and it's the first time I put it officially to public. I would like to have some feedback so I can improve it.
regards,
Bopper.

Hey Bopper,
The problem could be my version of ezskin I don't know. I have build 88 and cannot find version 89 as some have said is out. You saw my renders at the Smith Micro Poser forum. I am getting very dark skin tones from just the default settings.

I made a dielectric shader and posted it on Share CG that works well for most stuff but I'm having issues with it and transmapped hair. The hair comes out dull, or looking like wet plastic.

I have built 86 AFAIK and sometimes I get some errors, but that's got more to do with the firefly setup.
Transmapped hair is a very difficult thing to setup a shader for. a lot depends on the original textures that were used, but also on the geometry of the hair figure or object. I included a cycle hair shader in my plugin and some hairs renders great ( ye olde kozaburo hair works great) but some modern hairs look like s**t.
I've made a good shader for dynamic hair so I use a lot of dynamic hair these days, the rendertime has improved hugely with older version of poser.

In this image I'm using my current non-PBR hair shader in Superfly. The other mats are my PBR shaders including my cycles SS skin shader.
