Hi Denesia,

Thank you for telling us about the new subject. What I ask myself, is it meant as the expression "eye for eye, tooth for a tooth"? Or just all pictures with an eye as subject in it? Many greetings from Jacomina. 😄

Deenamic posted Fri, 02 September 2016 at 2:40 PM

Hi Jacomina! You can go in either one of those directions, let your imagination go wild! 🐅 I was trying to find an icon that meant wild or made you think of the song, "Eye of the Tiger," and I came across that tiger that looks like it has an attitude. I wish I could have found a happier looking tiger. lol

dochtersions posted Fri, 02 September 2016 at 3:14 PM

LOL, I just understand nothing at all, but invent something with crazy eyes, should work, and I love going wild, Denesia 😂

Wild.jpg

Just for fun, I didn't make this picture.

dochtersions posted Fri, 02 September 2016 at 3:23 PM

And now I hope this one will fit the new topic. This photo I took 2 days ago on the heath, where I also was in the water.Wild6545.jpg

Good night everyone 😀

Deenamic posted Fri, 02 September 2016 at 3:48 PM

Something with crazy eyes sounds cool! I have an artwork called "Cupid" that I've been wanting to turn into a unique photo manipulated mini movie. I want there to be a Queen of Hearts in the movie that stands for everything nice and good and I want there to be a villainess that Cupid and the queen's kingdom has to fight to keep the love in the world from dying. I think this subject will finally make me create that villainess. I'm thinking about having the villainess looking straight at the viewer like they're next on her list to turn their hearts into stone. For a minute there, I thought you took that photo. I was thinking I don't know if I would have gotten that close to a wild animal. First, the cheetah is gently licking your toe and then it becomes a chicken nugget in its mouth. lol

dochtersions posted Sat, 03 September 2016 at 12:47 PM

Great ideas you have, Denesia, and you really tickles my fantasies, my friend.

Now here my first eye for an eye, I hope this is something that tickles too 😄

Photo taken very early in the morning, not far from our house, it was rather misty, and I was the only one what was already outside, so this black sheep was so friendly to give me an eye.

EyeForEye6751.jpg

Deenamic posted Sat, 03 September 2016 at 5:17 PM

I love your photos Jacomina! This sheep definitely has a unique eye that can almost hypnotize you. Is it just me or does the sheep look like it's smiling? lol 😄

dochtersions posted Sun, 04 September 2016 at 5:46 AM

You are right, Denesia, for some reason I thought that this sheep was trying to hypnotize me. I also think he liked it, that I said "good morning" to him (our her?). LOL, it was not only smiling but also taking to me:

TalkingSheep.jpg

We really had a good conversation! 🐑

Deenamic posted Sun, 04 September 2016 at 9:52 AM

lol It looks like the sheep had a good time communicating with you. lol I bought a sheep photo somewhere online so I could use it to create a poster to go in my soon to be born great nephew's room and the sheep isn't doing half of the things that sheep is doing. lol You really found an interesting sheep. 😄

helanker posted Sun, 04 September 2016 at 10:50 AM

OY! Many things happened in here already. Jacomina you have really been busy here :-) Great shots all of them. I dont think i have any really shots i can come up with, but I because of the subject, I remember a drawing I made a few years back. I can barely look at it myself, and because it is a drawing, I didnt think I could bring it in here, but then I thought, if I color it in PSP and take a shot of the screen with my camera, it is a photo, isnt it? A photo of an artwork. :-P IF I must remove it from here, no offence. LOL!

Deenamic posted Sun, 04 September 2016 at 10:03 PM

lol I love your drawing Helle! You killed two fake birds with one stone, this is a photo of an artwork and a mixed medium artwork, which are both accepted in The Unusual Subjects Challenge. Yay! lol The person's eyes in the drawing are making me wonder what they're thinking or staring at. I love the way you colored your drawing. 😄

helanker posted Mon, 05 September 2016 at 3:13 AM

HAHAHA! Thank you, Dee, I am glad my image is accepted 😆 Yes, she looks like she has seen tragic things in whole her life, which last for 200 years :)

dochtersions posted Mon, 05 September 2016 at 4:41 AM

Ah, you will soon be an aunt, Denesia, how exciting. And what do you think of this eye for an eye, it has two spare eyes, and they make noise. 😂

dochtersions posted Mon, 05 September 2016 at 4:47 AM

Oh my!! I didn't see your amazing eye entry here, Helle! You did so clever by transforming it into the most intriguing look into eyes I've ever seen. Hoping with your eyes everything is okay again, my friend.

helanker posted Mon, 05 September 2016 at 5:49 AM

Gosh! Jacomina. Double pair of eyes. Perfect for this challenge. A fabulous shot. Love it 😁

helanker posted Mon, 05 September 2016 at 5:52 AM

Thank you Jacomina :) I thought her eyes were so intence :) No, my eye is not better and now I have a cyste in it. Now there are three reasons to operate on it 👎 I am still working on the cyste with eye drops on the second week from today. Doesnt help much.

dochtersions posted Mon, 05 September 2016 at 11:45 AM

I'm so sorry, dear Helle. And don't really know what to say, my friend!

I think of you and I hope you don't have too much pain, because it's as now bad enough for you.

Thinking.jpg

Deenamic posted Mon, 05 September 2016 at 1:21 PM

Jacomina, did you take the photo of the frog from a short distance and that's why the frog looks so big or is the frog really that big? If it really is that big, then I would start running if it leaped towards me. lol The frog definitely has some interesting eyes. I bet that frog lets out a very loud ribbit. lol I love the frog's golden highlights.

Helle, I hope your eye starts to feel better soon! I hope the eye drops will start working so you don't have to go the surgery route. The last time I went to my eye doctor, he told me I was two numbers away from having glaucoma. I thought he was going to prescribe some preventative medicine, such as eye drops or something, but he didn't. I know I probably need to go back to him one day and make sure I'm still two numbers away or even farther from having glaucoma now.

helanker posted Mon, 05 September 2016 at 5:11 PM

Thanks Jacomina, not so much to say. I just hope the eye drops will begin the help. Thank you for thinking of me :-D Good Night all :-)

helanker posted Mon, 05 September 2016 at 5:18 PM

Glaucoma, Dee? OH dear! I certainly hope he can tell, it was a mistake and that your eyes are alright after all. Ot that they atleast are much better now. We cross fingers for that. !!!

dochtersions posted Tue, 06 September 2016 at 12:06 PM

Yes 'fingers crossed' for you too, Denesia! 🙏

And here for you all, two beautiful blue eyes. It is a flat belly dragonfly, which I saw on the heath.

EyesLibel6676.jpg

With a lot of good wishes 😍

helanker posted Tue, 06 September 2016 at 12:53 PM

Fantastic shot Jacomina. Love the blue eyes :)

dochtersions posted Tue, 06 September 2016 at 3:30 PM

Thank you, my friend Helle!!!

Oh, and I forgot to write to Denesia that the fat frog is a macro (I zoomed in) so you don't need to run away, dear 😀

Deenamic posted Wed, 07 September 2016 at 6:17 PM

Helle, I hope it was a mistake too. I took the eye exam a few years ago and I did't want to do the puff of air test, because my eyes are sensitive and I can't stand for big gusts of air or anything else to get in them, so my eye doctor acted like he was okay with me not doing the test and then he got all medical on me and was like you know that certain groups of people have a higher chance of getting glaucoma and you're in one of those groups and then I realized I'm going to have to do the puff of air test to check my eye pressure. He knew I was scared to do the puff of air test so he went back to the 1800's and the old way of checking for eye pressure, which is 100 times more scarier than the puff of air test. I was sitting there praying he wouldn't accidentally stab me in the eye. lol I've always wondered if the tool he was using was as accurate as the puff of air machine. I hope my eye pressure comes out better when I go back to him again. Thank you Helle and Jacomina for your crossed fingers, mine are crossed too! lol

Jacomina, I love the dragonfly's blue eyes too! I'm always amazed when you all take photos of insects and they stay so still for you all. If I tried taking a photo of a dragonfly here, it would be probably notice what I was doing and start flying at me and silently letting me know that I invaded its privacy. lol It's good to know that I don't have to run away from the frog. lol

dochtersions posted Thu, 08 September 2016 at 12:00 PM

Sending a lot of good hope for your two, and I'm glad you like that blue eyes, dear friends! With love from Jacomina 😀

Deenamic posted Tue, 13 September 2016 at 9:50 AM

Jacomina, this cat is very much okay for the eye for an eye theme. This is a great photo, the plant background really brings out the color of the cat's eyes. 😄

dochtersions posted Tue, 13 September 2016 at 11:27 AM

Thank you dear Denesia, the photo is taken in our garden.

Then I'm going to gamble with this surprising boy, I accidentally came across, and he wanted very much in the picture. My conditions were that he had to do his eyes wide open. Initially, when he posed and smiled, his eyes were no longer visible. LOL I hope you like it. EyeForEye2230-bew2.jpg

Deenamic posted Tue, 13 September 2016 at 12:29 PM

You are really conquering this month's unusual subject Jacomina! I like this photo a lot! His eyes are telling me don't worry, be happy! 😄

dochtersions posted Tue, 13 September 2016 at 3:03 PM

About his happiness you are really right, Denesia, it was such an enormous enthusiastic man! He began to tell me a lot, took me by my arm and asked his girlfriend to make pictures from him and me. 😊

Hmm you didnt want the eye puf test...You know what? I dont like it either. I got that test when I got new glasses. The eye pressure was fine. A few weeks later I got this collapse in my eye (the only working eye I have) I have thought about that eye blowing since.... Could it be the reason that I now have a collapse in retina? A bluring curtain before my focus, which is so disturbing every rotten day. I dont read or write as well as before and the light is making it worse. I cant rad for more than a few minutes, before all gets double. But I guess, that if they knew that this puf test was doing harm to our eye, they wouldnt do it. So it guess it was just a coincident. But we people are always looking for a reason to our misfortune. That is when we begin to think too much. :-P

Anyway, I wish youy all the best of luck on your next test.

helanker posted Wed, 14 September 2016 at 1:36 PM

Jacomina you have brought us two wonderful shots. The cat looks so much like our Pjuske. He is so much more affectionate, now that Mulle is gone.

The young guy is very cute and his girlfriend will be thrilled :)

helanker posted Wed, 14 September 2016 at 1:39 PM

Thought this shot would fit nicely to this challenge :) Its my granddaughter a some years back. She was making faces :) Noa2.jpg

dochtersions posted Wed, 14 September 2016 at 3:49 PM

Amazing, Helle, what a cute, as beautiful granddaughter and photo, what fun too!!!!! She really fascinates with her fantastic look.

Deenamic posted Mon, 19 September 2016 at 1:40 PM

Thank you Helle and I wish you luck on your next eye exam too! I hope the eye puff test didn't do that to your eye, but it does make you wonder if that could have harmed your eye, because you would think some kind of pressure would make something collapse and that air does come out with great force. I may do a search online and see if other people have had problems with the eye puff test. I know I can't stand it. It does feel like it could do something not that good to your eye. I love the photo of your granddaughter! It looks like she just heard something interesting or just ate something yummy. lol 😄

helanker posted Wed, 21 September 2016 at 10:02 AM

HEHE! She was just making faces. :-) Thank you for your good wishes too ;-)

An eye of a lizard....A tiny bit manipulated, so the eye is bigger than normal :-P eye for an eye2.jpg

Deenamic posted Wed, 21 September 2016 at 1:34 PM

I love the lizard's eye and its color Helle! I didn't know lizard's claws were that sharp. He or she could really tear into something. lol

dochtersions posted Mon, 26 September 2016 at 11:36 AM

Amazing, Helle . What a formidable photo this is, and not only it's eye, the colours and textures are impressing too!

btw, again I didn't got an e-bot from here.

Deenamic posted Mon, 26 September 2016 at 11:45 AM

I was wondering what happened to you and Helle. I thought you all had visitors again. I actually got an e-bot notifying me of your comment. The e-bot is a mysterious creature. lol

Deenamic posted Mon, 26 September 2016 at 12:24 PM

Yeah, super fast. I got a good night's sleep last night and I'm good to go today. lol I totally understand what you're saying Jacomina. You're free to keep parts of your life private. We all keeps parts of our life private and it's okay, not everything needs to be in the tabloids. lol You're right, a new week means new opportunities and it's time to find those opportunities wherever they are. 😄

dochtersions posted Mon, 26 September 2016 at 12:49 PM

That is something to be jealous of, Denesia. Lucky you, "you sleep like a rose", as they say here, LOL. Haha, 'go to hell with that privately', I just don't want to complain! I always do "as if" and use some sort of gallows-humour. Laughter is healthy, right? Keep smiling, my friend, and......, 😁 : I have beautiful teeth, that makes the different 😬

Deenamic posted Mon, 26 September 2016 at 3:31 PM

Laughter is very healthy. I didn't know there were that many smiley emojis. lol

dochtersions posted Mon, 26 September 2016 at 4:00 PM

Oh, then please give this "Map-Butterfly" a big smile, Denesia ? I was just looking in my folders from some weeks ago, and saw that on this little butterfly the focus is on its eye. Sunny greetings, my friend.

Thanks again, Denesia! Actually I found the butterfly not that sharp enough, but here our eldest daughter, haha, she really IS sharp, isn't it? 😳

MiriamEye2.jpg

In our garden, she wanted to scare me or maybe frighten (?)

Deenamic posted Tue, 27 September 2016 at 1:46 PM

I love your photos! I would love to be relaxing the way Mutombo is in that photo. lol I love all the different types of animal eyes you showed in these photos. The first set of eyes are in a relaxed almost sleepy state, the second set of eyes are very alert, and the third set of eyes are playing peek-a-boo. All three animals are beautiful and very interesting to look at. 😄

dochtersions posted Sun, 02 October 2016 at 11:56 AM

Oh 'Wow", is that great to watch, Christian. A lazy one, a very prying one, and one who just wants 'to give you a hand', right?

Thank you for your nice words, Denesia! Great that you like her glasses, if you want such kind too, I'll tell you a secret: she bought it in Italy, so just make a little trip, my friend 🤓 Oh, and again I didn't receive e-bots. Ikes, they forget me all the time 🙄 LOL

Deenamic posted Mon, 03 October 2016 at 9:05 AM

dochtersions posted Mon, 03 October 2016 at 12:07 PM

Hi Denesia, when you'll go to Italy, maybe you can make a stop here in the South of The Netherlands; anyway, you're welcome any time. ;-)

And now the good news, I got an e bot again, although I like mysterious things, this deserves an applause. Well, maybe you can give this big fat toad an applause too, Karel discovered it in our garden.

A little mysterious monster 😁

Hang in there. Denesia! Denesia.jpg

Deenamic posted Wed, 12 October 2016 at 1:55 PM

I'm hanging in there just like that. That's a cool scarf! lol I took a crafts art history class in college and we had to use a loom and make our own scarves. I think it took me a week or two to finish mine. It turned out really cool. I may buy a loom and start cranking out some wild creations. I wish I could find that scarf. I think one of cousins when they were younger took it and didn't realize what they were taking.

dochtersions posted Thu, 13 October 2016 at 5:00 AM

So great you had that crafts art class, Denesia. You just must have to spy for your cool scarf, my friend. It's such a personal thing, which another has no idea of the value for you. It's a great idea to buy a loom, I'm sure your imagination will create wonderful and surprising things.

Somewhere in the 2D gallery I once did an upload from my first weaving, for what I made (my own) loom.

kat-weef.jpg

It is hanged on an old copper stair rod, with at the bottom a similar stairs rod of, so that it hangs straight.

LOL, now I have to think, : I have to "stay straight' too!

Deenamic posted Sat, 15 October 2016 at 12:04 AM

Your first weaving turned out great! You used all the different types of stitches. Going from one stitch to a totally different stitch isn't easy nor is changing the types of yarn you're using. I have a feeling this took some time to create. Once you finish something like this, you deserve to hang it on something for everybody to see. 😄

dochtersions posted Sat, 15 October 2016 at 3:50 PM

In retrospect, as I see it now, it is indeed surprising that this was my first attempt, cause 'I just did but what', I had no plan, yet the knowledge, or the like. At that time, all I undertook went well, maybe that's why I'm such a klutz now, haha.

crazy woman.jpg

Deenamic posted Sun, 16 October 2016 at 3:04 PM

It turned out great even though you didn't have any training on how to do it. Sometimes the best things happen when you jump in feet first. If you were a klutz, we would be seeing only shaky photos of concrete from you and we never see that. lol I think you have all the skills to make another weaving and do whatever else you want to do. 👧 🔋 I couldn't find an emoji for girl power, so I used those two emojis. lol
