Can anyone suggest what I am doing wring with my render settings in DAZ Studio 4.9+? Whenever I try to render anything all I get is a checker board? Cheers

I have had that exact same problem, but it has been quite a while. It took a bit of experimenting, sadly a can't remember what "exactly" I did. I remember testing with using straight stock figures in the V7 and GF3 figures. I vaguely remember something about lighting. I will put more thought into it. possibly using the newest (invida) rendering on items the were only 3Delight spec's. Anyway I'll get back as soon as I remember.

Are you using GPU or CPU for your render? Maybe changing that may help? Go into render settings and under the advanced settings you will see where to click on them under hardware.

Have you tried resetting your render settings to default? Are you rendering in 3Delight or Iray? You could also access the log file to see if there are any immediate errors under help/troubleshooting/view log file.
