I finally took the plunge and got a new Mac and installed Poser 11 on it. But my question now is, where do I copy all my Runtimes to that I've accumulated on my Windows PC over the years? The Poser 11 files were installed to a default location like /user/shared/Poser 11 content/ Runtime... and I can't even find that folder anywhere on my computer. Can I just copy them as is into separate Runtime folders (i.e. Poser6 Runtime, Poser 10 Runtime, etc...) and then point Poser 11 to them or should they be in that weird users/shared/ folder. Having a PC for so long, the Mac file structure is a little baffling. Thanks for any help!

when I install new versions I always take the option with most backward compatibility with old runtimes. I then just press the library button to add a new runtime and look them up.

That's what I always did before. But now I've got a fresh install on the Mac (which currently has no other runtimes except the Poser 11 one) and wondering where to copy my old Runtimes to from my PC.

I put all special runtimes (e.g.Morphs, Clothing, Robots, Poser7 etc) on an external drive and added them to the list of runtimes in the library. (See attached pic).

So, I can put those files wherever I want to as long as I point Poser to them? Is that it?

If it works the same way as a PC, yes as long as you can point your new library to the runtime it doesn't matter. Most of my runtimes are on an external drive.

Thanks! That helps a lot.

As long as your Poser program is located on your main hard drive, you can put the library pretty much anywhere and point Poser to it. I usually just use the default set up for my Mac.

Instead of pointing poser to each external runtime one by one, use a python script eg semideu's advanced library manager to load all external runtimes simultaneously. Love esther PS I am on mac
