Is there a way to use italics in the description of a gallery image?

Italics
Italics
You could try to add an asterisks or underscore at the start and the end of your word/sentence and see if that works(No spaces top or tail). I assume the gallery uses some form of basic markdown
For bold try two asterisks top and tail For bold italics try 3 asterisks top and tail.
For bold try two underscore top and tail For bold italics try 3 underscore top and tail.
