Catherine Zeta-Jones from 10-15 years ago or Angelina Joie from 10-15 years ago? Don't worry, I'm in no danger of infringement. No where near that good.

Angelina would make a good one and so would Catherine but why limit yourself? If you feel like it, go for it!

What infringement? This comes up so often in terms of so called celebrity likenesses but everyone forgets there's no copyright on a face, body shape and so forth. When it gets messy is when the likeness is named in a way as to identify with a real person. If, however, your superduper CZJ likeness is called Ethel Crust, there's nowt anyone can really do. Example, how many times do you walk past people who look like someone else? At least once a day, for sure. Chances are, some of those people look like someone famous. In fact, many people base their careers on looking like some famous bod or other. Elvis, Bowie, Freddie, Queen Liz...
Of course, there's always a chance some cash hungry lawyer or celeb may try it on in court. Then it's down to you to show the figure was based on Mavis Gloop down the street.
No, I'm not a lawyer and the fact I have very little respect for them should in no way influence your reading of my above comments. Nor should my sig line. :)

Just google CZJ or AJ look alikes and if you get pinged say it was one of them. They have a lot less money for a lawsuit. Sam is correct once you start naming them is where it gets a little shaky.

I have no intention of naming them after the celebrities. I'm actually trying to find a type to model. Personally, I think both Angelina and Catherine are very beautiful women, so I was just going after an opinion. I'm just trying to learn so tonight, I'm going to try laying out a facial design with Blender's grease pencil tool.
ghostship2 posted Mon, 07 November 2016 at 2:53 PM
honestly? If I see another AJ morphed character I'll go rogue and start killing 3d modelers. There must be 15-20 of them for various Daz models. I'd much rather see young versions of older super models like Niki Taylor, Carol Alt, or Frederique Van Der Wal.

Jolie isn't, IMO, particularly attractive. In profile, she has a pronounced lower jaw and a droopy lower lip. Not, that is to say, any reflection on her as a person, or any abilities she may or may not have. Just to say I don't find her looks appealing. CZJ, otoh, is - or was in her younger days - rather pretty.
Of the current younger models and actresses, I think Jenna Coleman (Doctor Who) is astonishingly beautiful.

Did you know most cats are scared of toasters? And bananas. And cucumbers. So, if you ever want to really freak a cat, make a toasted banana and cucumber sandwich.
Our cats, as it happens, don't care one way or the other about bananas. But then, our all cats are strange. Particularly Sioux. Very, very weird cats.

Ok looks nice but who do e compare it to in the real world. THe hair? I get all kinds of sheitz like that. I usually have to get rid of back facing polygons or not render it in any of the advanced render options like Firefly, etc. A lot of the older Poser stuff winds up with that kind of noise on it. Some of it can be fixed by the vendor(s) but a lot of it goes into the waste bin of you are no longer working in older versions of Poser it may have been originally made for. So you are using Poser figures and not any of the Millenium figures to create these characters?

My attempts at morphs and things of that nature are almost always going to be Poser-centric. Doesn't mean I don't like DAZ, but I like the Poser figures despite every body else detesting them. Plus, Pauline is a resource model, so I can do what I like.
BTW, I did use a Jolie reference pic for the morph. The overall shape of the head is definitely a younger Jolie's, around the time she did "Tomb Raider".

the weird triangles on the hair is from using the Cycles hair shader. I believe this shader is meant for strand based hair in Blend and does not work well with hair of any kind in Poser.
