Does BB's old Leather Shaders work with Poser's Superfly render? I don't have any problems with the shader when I use the regular firefly rendering engine. But when I use, for example, the black leather, it just comes out as black without any detail. It just looks as if someone did a photoshop paint fill on my character's clothing. I just got Poser 11 Pro yesterday so I'm not sure if this as been address already.
I don't know if I need a new shader or if there is a fix, or work around. I thought it would be safe to ask before I wreck my brain. Any help appreciated.
Thanks

Just tried it and those old shaders no longer work with Superfly. The log does flag some problems with the node arrangement, primarily with phong. This node is not utilized in Superfly, you will need to find an arrangement which can use either the cycles surface or physical surface node. By far, it would be a simpler arrangement in the Material Room. ATM, I don't recall where I may have seen such shaders, but they do exist. Unfortunately, no updates to BB's set.

have you tried my free Uber Shader? It can do leather amoung most of the other stuff you'd want to have a shader do.

Thanks GhostShip2. I was unaware of this Shader. The boot looks really nice. I'm looking forward to see how it work on the Aiko 3 Cat Suit from way back

Any external runtime, not the main Poser folder.

I've recompiled the BB Leather shaders for SuperFly. I still have a few adjustments to make but the procedural patterns are coming out pretty good. I'll post again here when they're available on my site.
Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)

Those are looking great BB, and I'm looking forward to them in addition to Ghostship's great shader set.

I was trying to test lots of combinations to see that the SuperFly shader always produced a pleasing result. I got tired of trying to be creative, so I created some digital designers - programs that generate different shader parameter sets, render them, and then save them in the library. I'm considering selling some of these libraries, while still offering the basic shaders for free.
Here are some prelim results. I created three "colorists" - digital designers that have a certain style that they are biased towards. All of these were told to work with the "reptile" theme. Here's a small sampling of what they came up with.

I'm open to suggestions for improvements to the colorists or other designer behaviors.
I'm also thinking about additional features in the non-free shaders. I'm open to hearing about things you'd like to have.

I'll leave the suggestions to those who know more about this sort of thing, but from what I see in the "samplings", they'd be in my Runtime not too long after they hit the store. Very nice indeed sir!!

Sorry to raise a long-dead thread from the grave, but - did you ever get as far as updating the leather shaders, bagginsbill?
Miss B posted Sat, 17 November 2018 at 12:17 PM
I don't see an update on his site, so I suspect he never got a chance to continue updating it. It's only in a "Work In Progress" format.
