News out of Los Angeles this morning that Carrie Fisher, most famously known as Princess Leia of Star Wars, has passed away at the age of 60. My condolences to her friends and family. Her legions of fans will truly miss her.

Awe ... I was sending white light for her ... now to send to her family and friends. She will be greatly missed and always remembered.

I'm saddened to hear of her passing, but amazed to find out Debbie Reynolds, her mother, is still with us.

I had read she was hospitalized after becoming ill on a flight to Los Angeles. I hadn't heard that she had passed. RIP Carrie.
OK, just checked the NY Times, and it appears she had a heart attack on a flight from London to Los Angeles, and was hospitalized when they landed.

Debbie Reynolds just collapsed and died of a stroke today. The poor family. So tragic.

I was totally shocked to find she passed within days of her daughter. Definitely sad. RIP Debbie.

I'm actually not either for or against this petition. Honestly, it seems a little stupid to me to care that much, but if you're a hard core Star Wars fan, I guess i can see your point. Anyway, a petition to make Leia an official Disney Princess has been launched at Change.Org. Seems there is a rule that a Disney Princess has to be animated. Personally, I don't see the problem. Just about every Disney princess has been live action at least one time somewhere, so why not add Leia? Anyway, not sure what the rule for this is but adding the link anyway to sign the petition if you're so inclined.

Oh, now that I'd like. The gown/robe outfit she wears when she's recording the message to Obi-Wan Kenobi that she inserted into R2D2.

You know, come to think of it, it'd be kind of cool to have a render theme of the month contest, and have Leia be the theme for one month.

Signed. And she has been animated - you can even buy the animated version of her action figure at walmart. So technically she meets the rule.
