Yesterday and today, both me and my best friend (who live in different states, and have different connectivity... keep getting a blank white page when we try to get to Rendo's main page... I finally got THERE, and could NOT for the life of me, sign in, THAT page was a blank white page.... then I went to my own gallery link, got in there, and could sign in... being we have been trying to use coupons that end today, it's pretty frustrating... Once in, the payment process is SLOWWWWW..... Sure hope the site is ok... I see nearly 3000 visitors/members are on line these days...

Hi Lyne,
Amazon S3 servers went down for 6 hours yesterday and caused some dns issues.
Please clear your cache and cookies and that should solve your problems

I clear cache and cookies every single time I close my browser- manually....clears deep- even the "DNS cache" but it was a constant problem with pages not loading HERE, not just store interaction....- as does my friend (just an FYI) but it does seem better today! re: the store- was just hard when we wanted to simply load Rendo itself and SIGN IN to then use the store... I didn't explain right I think, sorry!
ANYWAY all's well that end's well!
Hugs you all! :)

not even a 'timer' second time, page just sits there, showing right address, but is totally white! My friend and I both use IE 11 ONLY- and will not/can not (tried it, hate it, can't use it) Chrome ... I even tried other browsers... NEED to use IE... sorry.... but trouble we are having is here... sigh... we WANT TO use the site... this time I had to sign in by going 'through' my gallery link...and "chanced" to get in, and get here.

Clearing the cache and all other browser stored values does allow me to open the pages, but everything is MUCH SLOWER than usual. I have tried the following browsers and they all have the same speed issues: IE 11, Chrome, Edge & Firefox. Is anyone else experiencing these slow loading pages?
Shawn21 posted Thu, 02 March 2017 at 3:05 PM
I always clear my cache and cookies. But like jdstrider everything is SLOW-SLOW-SLOW! I hope it can be fixed soon!
FrankT posted Thu, 02 March 2017 at 3:34 PM
Every time I try and open a page it gets stuck contacting CND-ORIG.SOCKET.IO Currently the site is unusable for me so I'll see you in a few days once you have it fixed
SeanMartin posted Thu, 02 March 2017 at 3:36 PM
I'm also getting the cdn.socket.io thing, which is seriously slowing things down, even after clearing cache as recommended.
Any idea what that is?

Javascript perhaps.
Whatever it's trying to connect to, it's seriously slowing things down

Also having the same issue and I've cleared all browser caches and everything...
jdstrider posted Thu, 02 March 2017 at 7:09 PM
I performed a quick analysis on the performance of the site when navigating between various pages and it would appear that there are dozens of resources that are taking between 300 and 800 ms to retrieve from their source (DB or URL).
This is likely a direct symptom of the problems experienced yesterday and once all of those resources have been reloaded into the server cache the site will perform much better.
I would expect that we will see improved performance gradually over the next few days until everything is back to were it was before the crash. IMHO

Yes, I'm also getting slow loading pages, in fact a couple of times earlier today, I got a timeout message. At least now it eventually loads, but it's still really slow.

the problem appears to be socket.io javascript loading from cdn.socket.io
here is a screenshot showing it tok 32.49 seconds to load renderosity.com you see in the list it took 29.68 seconds to load socket.io -11.3.4.js
so I did a traceroute to cdn.socket.io here:
and taking forever to connect cloudfront which is an amazon service. So the problem appears to be still with amazon. I don't know if it is socket io not being able to connect or the node not respoding. Anyway that is as far as I got. After your connected everything seems to load ok.
Cheers, David
david_macrae posted Fri, 03 March 2017 at 6:11 AM
Of course now it makes me wonder if the problem is on the server causing timeout (socket io actually running in node.js)?
david_macrae posted Fri, 03 March 2017 at 7:06 AM
hmmmm. after a little search it appears that the socket.io website is down and has been for quite a while so no api reference. So I went to socket.io github:
https://github.com/socketio/socket.io/issues/2883
and there others have reported the same problem so in place of cdn.sock.io-1.3.4.js
there suggested to use https://cdnjs.com/libraries/socket.io/
for the libraries and specifically for 1.3.4: https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/socket.io/1.3.4/socket.io.js
david_macrae posted Fri, 03 March 2017 at 7:40 AM
The problem is from Amazon I do not know who is at fault socket.io (I think the server serving up socket.io js) or aws but in is not your server just your reference to the socket.io javascript which could be changed to the above library. Sorry if I spam too much but I was interested in getting to the bottom of this. ;-)
david_macrae posted Fri, 03 March 2017 at 8:29 AM
well heck I went to breakfast and came back and it appears that it is now working socket io is loading correct from cdn.orig-socket.io thats good all working now.
Miss B posted Fri, 03 March 2017 at 11:17 AM
Yes, I just got here a few minutes ago, and all is loading quickly. Hopefully, this is a permanent fix.

About the site...I too noticed it was offline for some time and now when I click on my profile page all I see is a blank page that says "This is a health check."
Is anybody else experiencing these issues?
My browser is Mozilla.
