So I am using poser on a mac, and pretty much ever since I got it, the zoom has worked by holding down command and then scrolling on my mouse. But recently it has stopped working. I'm not sure if I accidentally hit one of the other keys once and messed it up, but I would have no idea which one I might've hit and why it would've messed up zoom. Now whenever I scroll while holding down command it just acts like I'm not holding down command and just moves up and down. Does anyone know how to fix this, and what I might've done to make it stop working? Thanks

Hello,

I am moving this thread to the Poser forum so you can hopefully get some answers a little faster than through the Community Center forum.

Thank you and have a wonderful day,

For PC zoom is just the scroll wheel. cntrl+scroll wheel makes it move up and down. cntrl on a pc is usually the same as command on a mac.

Command used to work for zoom but now it just moves up and down whether I am holding down command or not.

Try framing the object first and then scroll to zoom in and out. I've noticed that sometimes you have to frame an object before zoom will work.

You might also try looking in the shortcuts menu to see if you can find zoom listed there and what the correct key combination is. You can get to the edit shortcuts menu in preferences under the interface tab.

I don't know what the various differences are between a pc and mac tho, so I can't really be of much help beyond that.

I had problems when I installed logitech mouse software on my macbook pro. it switched zoom and up down. (It still did all the same scroll just with different hot keys. I did not like it) I ended up uninstalling the software and just using the mouse without it on my mac. now I still use the logitech mouse with native os x mouse controller set to natural scroll in system preferences. Also I assume you have scroll to zoom checked in poser preferences interface tab.

scroll wheel zooms in and out. shift+scroll moves left right. cmd+scroll moves up down. alt+scroll rotates up and down. alt+shift+scroll rotates left and right.

also ... with camera selected cmd+left mouse button drag to zoom in and out. (If an actor is selected the action will be performed on that actor ie. character, body part, prop)

also ... alt+left mouse button drag - to rotate camera (no matter what actor is selected)

also ... space bar+left mouse drag - to pan camera (no matter what actor is selected)

Thank you for your answers, but so far I can't get any of them to work :(

Try deleting your poser preferences at ~/Library/Application Support/Poser Pro/11/Poser Prefs

Or whatever version you have. You might want to copy it somewhere else first.

Thanks everyone for all of your great answers. But I finally got it to work by holding down z and scrolling (I have no idea why it changed from holding down command to holding down z) but really, thank you all so much for all of your answers, hope you all have a good day :)
