For folks who are interested about such news, here is Polygon Picture's announcement of the release of their Maneki production software for Japanese animation: http://www.ppi.co.jp/news_release/ppipr20170310_maneki/ The software itself has a webpage:- http://maneki.sh/ It is only for studios, not individuals, and is a commercial item. Interesting. I knew they used maya for their modeling and animation but their proprietary plugin seems to incorporate 3delight renderer for npr rendering.
