Now that I've done it, I see it's easy. It doesn't take a lot of time. Now all the free Carnegie Mellon BVH's will animate my Genesis 3 characters.

I am doing it without having to buy motionbuilder using a free G2-G3 motion retargeting script available in the freebie forum at the Daz site.

I received MB for free (3 year license) under their education licensing.
I will check into the retargeting script - maybe it's simpler than going through MB.
