As I write this a light rain falls upon the window, obscuring my view of the woods outside... I stare out past the trails of water streaking through the salty dirt which has collected on the glass and I wonder... I wonder when I cleaned the inner glass so well I didn't realize it was so close and because of that it now has a nose print on it.

I'm also wondering if this forum is still alive... What happened to all the posts and writing related writings...?

Does no one write?

Is literature dead?...

Does no one care to tap out more than 140 characters anymore?

That was a Twitter dig... I figure nobody is gonna read this, so I can make fun of Twitter if I want... I don't have to worry about offending anyone. If this is an abandoned forum and nobody is reading, I can just talk out loud to myself... I don't have to worry about being nonsensical or having to have a point... It's like when you are in a big old abandoned haunted house... You can talk out loud, sing... Run naked... Nobody is listening. I don't run naked through haunted houses. Not much. But it's a great way to scare off evil spirits. That wasn't my original point though...

I'm sad... Not only because they tore down the old haunted insane asylum, but because this forum seems to be dead... I stopped coming here because it seemed a little slow, not much was being added and I figured if I didn't check up for a while, I'd have more to see when I came back. Admittedly, I've got a really bad memory and it took a couple of months for me to remember to check back, but now everything is gone. Bummer man... It's like going on vacation or getting locked up for public indecency and when you get out, or back from vacation, you go to the library and find all the books gone and all the librarians dead... Well... Not exactly the same... I suppose there would be a lot more forms to fill out in that case, but still, it's rather disappointing.

I feel like I should have gotten a notification or something...

I would have ignored it because I'm terrible at finding notifications that aren't attached to flaming arrows sticking out of eye level walls...

But now I come back to these sacred halls... Once they were filled with promise... A merger of visual and verbal art... A place where renders and writing could live side by side... But now these halls stand empty... Where once there stood discussions about writing form and practice, there lay piles of mouse feces and rotting pigeon carcasses...

Seriously, you guys gotta fix the roof and do something about the mice.

Sigh... I suppose it was too good to be true... Maybe it was lack of interest or lack of funding, like when they closed down the library and rubbed out all the librarians... Whatever the case, it seems to be over. My only regret is I didn't eat more pie this morning and now it's all gone.

So this may just be a madman's scribblings on the asylum wall, or it may be a message in a bottle... Cast out into the dark ethers of the web... I'm actually pretty sure it's just me typing this onto an iPad, but who knows...

Till next, if ever we meet again... Good luck my friends.

Not abandoned, I was in an accident three months ago, couldnt sit up. Im just now able to walk short distances, like to the kitchen, but I can sit at the computer for very short time now. Ive posted some snippet stories, which is about all I can do right now. Healings coming along, each day is better.

Still lurking as always. I've just never been a talkative one. Rarely post.

Wolfenshire, sorry to hear that. Glad you're improving. Will keep you in my prayers.

I'm torn. I like to write and draw. I have been rebuilding my gazebo for the past two months when weather allows. I like to sit out there and do both. My main story has come to a stop while I work on pictures. I'm 67 and don't really care to make my story(s) letter or punctuation perfect. So I hesitate to show what I am doing. I understand crafting a story and what is needed to make it interesting. but I still hesitate. I understand there is another writers forum out there, so maybe there was a migration??

This is the only writers forum on Rendo. Im the coordinator for it and I do apologize for the lack of attention, but the last three months have been a challenge to say the least due to the injury from the accident. My left leg from spine to knee was pretty tore up. Im able to sit up and walk very short periods now. I will post challenges and stuff again as I can, and continue my own stories as possible. I was writing a snippet today but didnt get very far, kept having to lay down and rest. We have some big stuff planned down the pipe for later, and I'll let you know when it goes active. Also, traditionally the writers dont use this forum much, their work is in the gallery. I check the posts on my iphone, but making comments on an iphone is difficult. So, know that I do read your wonderful works, even if I cant always respond. Keep writing, and know we are here if you need support. If I cant respond, Wheatpenny, the moderator, will get back to you.

Wolfie, I had no idea you had been hurt. I hope you make a swift and complete recovery.

In answer to McGyver13 I can only imagine that members are busy banging out their latest magnus opus.
