Hi, I made a little plush toy figure and I would like to put a short fur on it. Is there an easy way to do this or a tutorial somewhere? Poser 11 pro, for windows
Thanks!

Go to the Hair room. Select the polys you want hair on. Adjust the settings as explained in the user manual. Couldn't be simpler !! Oh yes, and sorry about this but...The instructions are there...Read the Manual. It explains it all. If there's anything in the manual you don't understand then write further. But please try the old "RTFM" first. You'll learn a lot better that way.

Sam's way is the easiest if you're rendering in firefly. It won't work in superfly. Then you'll need the hair room. Just growing fur is simple. Styling it is difficult. To grow it 1 create hair group 2 edit hair group to add all faces you want. 3 grow hair 4 adjust the length.
if you want it just sticking out like Sam's set all the growth controls except length to 0 and put kink strength and clumpiness to 0. increase the density a lot.
Available on Amazon for the Kindle E-Reader Monster of the North and The Shimmering Mage

Thank you so much. I never use hair (see pic <---) I only had this need pop up due to a character/prop in a book. This is for a plush toy and it worked out great.
Thank you again! shylienplush.jpg

Sam's way is easiest, but it's not really hair. That method works with superfly, but you have to increase subdivision to very high, like 8.
To create hair, go to hair room, press "New Growth Group", then press "Edit Growth Group", select the polygon you want to have hair, then press "Grow Guide Hair".

Thanks! It was for an alien plush toy, so it was a 1 off curiosity. It may never make it into the book as a picture. Hard to say. Appreciated the help though.
