This seems like nitpicking, I'm sure - 3 items in my cart are on sale, AND they also have Prime prices, but I'm not a Prime member - I can understand the discount not applying to the Prime prices if I were getting those, but I'm paying the normal sale price like anyone else, and the coupon doesn't apply? Seems like a semantic argument, at best.

Coupons do not apply to prime items so that prime members always get the best price on those items. If a product is on sale and a coupon is applied the price may go below the prime price, and that leaves no benefit to becoming a prime member. For just $29.99 a year prime membership is a great deal and well worth the cost of the membership for the coupons, extra percentage on sales, unlimited gallery uploads, freebie each month and other things you get for being a prime member. Saving on specific items is one of those benefits.

Understood. But it should say that. Also, don't Prime members get any sale prices that are below the Prime prices, anyway? So they have no disadvantages during sales, plus great deals the rest of the time - sounds like a win-win for them in any case.
