I have been trying to save a figure IE a character to DAZ studio, but it seems the only way to save the figure is to save it as a scene. Is there another way to save. In Poser I could build a character with Texture, morphs, hair and then save it to be used again. Without having to go through all the step's all over again. Please help..... Cheers, Pat

Use a Scene Subset (File>Save as>Scene Subset) if none of the presets work (a Character preset will save shaping and materials and either apply to a selected figure or load a new figure, a Wearables preset will save clothing and props). A Scene Subset will save the specified items, from a checkable list, in their current state and - when double-clicked - will merge them into the current scene.

Thank you RHaseltine, I will do this. And thanks for your quick response.

Character Preset saves it, but the hair disappears.

USE SCENE SUBSET!!!

A character preset saves the shape and the materials by default, and - unlike other presets - will load the figure it applies to if the currently selected item isn't the correct figure.

What does that mean?

A character preset saves the relatively constant stuff - shape and skin - but not the variable stuff - pose, clothing, hair, etc.

Yes, that's what I thought.
