Hello Carrara people! I've been away for a long time, and I am wondering about compatibility of Genesis and other DAZ models with Carrara.
What is the earliest version of Carrara that Genesis works in? What about Genesis 2? Does Carrara support geograft items or no? All earlier poser format content from DAZ should work in Carrara, right? Also, how is Carrara's GoZ support?
I've heard that 8.5 broke a lot of stuff. Is that true? What did it break?
Also, what is the state of dynamic hair and liquid in Carrara?

I don't know which is the earliest version that supports Genesis. All my experience with Carrara has been with version 8.5 Pro, which can load Genesis 1 and 2, but not 3 or the new genesis 8.

Have you found anything broken in 8.5? Some forum posts I read here say stuff is broken that wasn't broken in version 8, but don't give specifics.

I started with 8.5, so I don't know anything about the differences between 8 and 8.5, or what is broken and what is not.
I should add that 8.5 cannot auto-detect runtimes from Daz Studio 4.9 (but it can from earlier versions).

Stan is the expert on what works and and what is broken. Search for some of his posts because he gave us detailed info into the topic. (sorry I am not able to search it out for you).busy.

I upgraded from 8 to 8.5 years ago and don't recall any problems. As you probably know, the comprehensive manual is still V.7.

iirc the latest update gave carrara support for the postogre cms database. the original database was valentina
it did break something, might have been the align with the plane?
