Hello everyone!
I would like to share with you my first work in Blacksmith3D-v7 , It's the first version I’m using
Face Sculpting , painting and hair all done using Blacksmith3D-v7 It is a very easy to use and very powerful , when I used the program first time it took me about half an hour to get used to it and I created my first hair with it from scratch in two days:
The Tekken Fan Art image took me 3 days working in Blacksmith3D and one day working in daz (for posing) and zbrush for rendering
I would like to share with you some tips and tricks I used in Blacksmith3D-v7 First I used only three pictures for reference
For sculpt ... I only used selection brush and hammer brushes , Sometimes I add smoothing by pressing S and sometimes not
**gif tutorial **
For hair ... first you need to see this video to know how it works
I played with the Hair strand creator setting to make the right look for the hair and create one hair ( each flat area need one or two hairs ) ... then i unlock the hair roots in Display Groups and select the strand movie , change the selection origin to Root and move the root under the face a bit , thin copy and paste around the area ... When you are done and happy with the result , uncheck the symmetry and start playing around with hair brushes and move each hair randomly so you get a realistic result .... Done
If you want to go further with it , create a new hair layer and change Width to 1 in Hair strand creator , Create some hair and make them a little scattered
I also used the hair tools to add some details and morphs for my latest hair Hikari Anime Hair
For painting ... Blacksmith3D have many ways to paint and my favorite way is Projection Brush , It is Similar to zapplink in zbrush except you do not need to have millions of polygon to get a high quality
I hope it was beneficial, helpful and enjoyable.
Thanks for viewing my work
