Looks like NeverCenter has finally released a new update to their Silo modeling package. I'm sure users of this modeling software will wish to take a look.

I have Silo 2,4 .
Can i just install on it or i must uninstall last version before?
Thanks

As a rule, I like to carefully install the new version separately. That way I can easily uninstall it if I'm having problems with it, and still have my previous version to work with. Then, if everything's working fine, I can uninstall the older version after moving whatever projects I've been working on to a location easily available from the new version.
This is just how I do things, but if you don't want to do that, I believe most software installation packages now-a-days are set up to install in place of whatever version you are currently running.

I just installed it (version 2.5.02). And loaded a simple OBJ into it.
Nada.
Not impressed with it so far. Hexagon and my other apps import the OBJ just fine. Will probably go back to Silo 2.3.1.

Loaded an obj just fine last night.. So not sure there shawn..
But, the collada I loaded direct from sketchup moved all the components I'd made to zero point... headscratch dunno if that's su or silo tho.....

Hey Shawn, if you haven't uninstalled it, try something and see if it helps. I know whenever I import an OBJ into Silo 2.3, I always have to zoooooooom in pretty far, because it's usually a tiny little spec in my viewport. That may be what you're experiencing as well, but since you didn't see the OBJ front and center, you thought it might not be there at all.

OK, too late to edit my previous message, so here's another tidbit I found on another forum, and it works quicker than manually zooming in to see the object.
I usually have the Scene Editor window open, and if you select the newly-imported OBJ, then click somewhere in the viewport, Ctrl-F will frame the selected object, zooming in if the object is tiny. I just tried it, and it works well.

It's just an OBJ of a scanned person. Nothing fancy. I imported the OBJ into Hexagon 1.21 and exported it out again. Then Silo 2.5.02 was able to import the model just fine.
